DanTheFox07 Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 A Blackpool (Draw). Grayson factor, shit weather, small ground.H Plymouth (Draw). Holloway factor. They'll be busting a gut. A Watford (Loss). Avenging an embarrasing defeat. H Norwich (Draw). We had trouble with them away and it'll be no different here. A Coventry (Loss). Avenging an inexcusable performance. A Cardiff (Loss). Hasselbaink factor. Never an easy place anyway. Three points from 18 and MM well pissed off. Oh dear do u really think were only gonna get three points from all those games, were a team on the up its about time some city fan`s started believing that! I think well beat both blackpool and plymouth so there is 6 points straight away, the next for 4 i wouldnt like to guess all very hard games but have to get a least a draw against cov and norwich being that they are teams around us.
Floating Fox Posted 1 February 2008 Posted 1 February 2008 here you go mate Cheers Tommo Don't know why but I really enjoy them
Thracian Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Last 6 playedH Ipswich 2v0 Won H Charlton 1v1 Draw A Q P R 1v3 Loss H Coventry 2v0 Won A Norwich 0v0 Draw H Palace 1v0 won Won 3 Drew 2 Lost 1 Total Points 11 from 18 Next 6 to be played A Blackpool Win H Plymouth Win A Watford Draw H Norwich Draw A Coventry Win A Cardiff Loss Win 3 Draw 2 Lose 1 Points Prediction 11 from 18 Well KF, that's not started too well. Even I fancied us for a draw before Dickov signed for them, and you just knew what would happen once he was involved. I now think one look at the remainder of those six fixtures rings bloody great alarm bells signalling just how serious our batttle against relegation could well become. The problem for City is that, unless we start pulling clear soon, the pressure will mount enormously. We've become quite high profile with the arrival of MM and the amount of money chucked at players and wages, the various changes of manager etc. Quite apart from any "minnows" or revenge seekers relishing the idea of putting one over on us, I'm concerned that other low-end clubs are improving and we will have as much internal disharmony and lack of obvious direction as ever. Holloway has fielded his favoured team of late, a side full of experience and virtually stripped of Academy involvement. Yet the same problems remain. We're an ugly side because we're short of pace, short of class and poor at passing. So many people are grumbling. We had just seven shots, if you could even call them that, at Blackpool and only three on target. Chances just weren't made and with that situation no-one can understand the decisions about Gradel and Shush and, by that I mean people who would really like to understand and would like to be reassured by a new and positive team. I don't know about Plymouth but other than them, all our other opponents in the next five matches look like bankers to score and that means our patently unimaginative and low-on-confidence team has somehow got to score twice at least to win - and not for the first time. Yet so far this season, in 30 League games we've scored two goals or more just seven times. And people still wonder why I want us to attack more!

Thracian Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 3 clean sheets in a row, then a crap performance and we're dead set for shipping goals again. Goodness. Nothing to do with us really. I just think Watford, Coventry, Norwich and Cardiff are likely scorers. And our defence has not been quite as convincing as the figures suggest. Norwich gave us a pounding, particularly first half, Palace netted but it was disallowed and, at Blackpool the home side had the ball in our nety three times and had one or two excellent chances on top. Anyway, let's hope it is your view that prevails because I just can't see us enjoying a goals spree.
Dr The Singh Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 The home matches are the key, I can't see us getting anything from the away games!!

What is it with you and disallowed goals, serious question? they're offside, they aren't worth mentioning, it's like saying Blackpool could well of had 20 corners had it not been for their players knocking the ball out of play.

Have it your own way by all means - the results will finally decide how well our defence copes. Some goals are indeed "offside" because we defended to make them so and others are disallowed for other reasons and would never otherwise have been goals. On other occasions a team can simply get lucky and a goal from a good move which completely beats the defence is disallowed. I'd suggest that was the case Saturday with Blackpool's first disallowed goal and another worry is that the Seasiders netted twice from similar moves and they did so because they used the full width of the pitch, stretched our slowish centre-defenders as far apart as they could and got balls over or through into space behind them. Any opposition who does their homework with the videos will spot Grayson's tactics and have their own chance to do the same thing and there's little in personnel terms that we can do to change that. Even now we're proposing to add an experienced 32-year-old to an already cumbersome defensive line. Frightening that based on what I've said. Anyway, the golf course beckons this bright sunny day....
