translation - he doesn't like that he cant get in ahead of a 17 year old

Or possibly he decided there he had no chance of getting in ahead of the fast-tracked golden boy despite stats suggesting there was only ever one first choice.

That's not meant to be a criticism of Mattock either, but it might have seemed unfair to Shush! although I don't honestly think Mattock would necessarily have been the problem.

Those two could easily have interchanged either at full-back or down the left side but Holloway bought in his wingers, put them straight in the team, kept Laczko in despite indifferent performances and left Shush! sidelined. He also signed the 32-year-old Clapham, a competent enough full-back generally but hardly an attacking threat.

A bit tactless I'd say for a bloke who supposedly wanted to give Shush! a new contract, especially as the new boys have scored and made damn all up to now, the same as Mattock though that may change.

Bottom line Holloway made his offer and Shush! chose to go where he felt he'd be better appreciated and where he felt they were likely to play his sort of football.

I can see it happening with others.

The Academy youngsters are closely knit and I doubt they'll like be muscled out by new signings they don't see as better than themselves.

Frankly I cannot understand why people are bothered. Despite 60% voting to say they preferred him to Mattock in the team, there were a vociferous lot who clearly didn't rate him and wanted him out. They've got their way and we're left with what we've got. Wha's the problem?.

I'd expect others to follow. People who've done well at a club for years are never going to feel pleased at being pushed out by imports

Who ever bought this up again needs shooting! We had a couple days peace at least!

A full back's priority is to defend, NOT TO FOOKIN WELL ATTACK.

You defend as a team and attack as a team. One day that message will get through to our fans. Until it does we'll have a shit team. And our team conceded no more with Shush! at full-back than Mattock. And I doubt it will concede any fewer with Clapham because it's been pretty solid really.

I think Alan Shush! is the best player I've ever seen.

He can defend and he can attack. He also creates 7,432 chances per game.

Now can this thread discussion be over?

Right as long as we're all agreed Alan Shush! is shit this thread can be closed.

I've seen some shit from Leicester lately but it wasn't anything to do with him.

What? So because our fans have different views, we'll have a shit team. Stop being stupid.

You say Shush! offers so much more going forward, which is true only with his final ball, Shush!'s lack of pace and attempt to take on the opposing full back (unless you can remember when he's done it in the 1st team this season) compared to Mattock heavily favors Mattock. What Shush! offers defending wise, is next to nothing, and this is why Mattock has the left back spot even though he's been caught out in the past few weeks.

How many yellow cards has Shush! gained due to stupid tackles after being skinned compared to Mattock? 4-1 I would say.

Shush! might shine in the reserves or in League 1 and lower, but that's not championship football.

This is True, he was dropped, for being even shitter than the shitters that were shitting.

Doesn't matter now anyway. He's gone and we've still got to find to get someone to make some chances.

I know I shouldn't............................... but, if I rightly remember, you can only have one player take a corner or a free-kick at one time. Iain Hume has scored as many free-kicks this season as Big Al and Stephen Clemence has more assists from set pieces than Shush! and all of Shush!'s assists were from set pieces so that answers you're query.

No doubt you'll still claim Shush! 'creates' more goals, but the truth is he hasn't and didn't create any goals from open play and as i've said we have Clemence & Hume to create from set pieces. It would be nice if we could score some more goals, but Shush! wouldn't help us there unless he could start scoring and supplying from open play, something not many of our players are capable of consistently.
