Darkzzz_ Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Seem's i have been missing a lot of aggro on here of late! Oh well! U know what annoys me when i see serious injuries like this?? It is when i see players such as Didier Drogba who seem to get shot when they go down.... Another thing i hate is when players roll about, if you are injured and i mean really injured you would not roll about.... Did you see Eduardo roll about.... NO!! God i hate these players that do that!
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Assuming he was out for 15 months without playing football, that means he would earn gross of £3.9 million in that period on the assumption he is is on £60,000 per week. After the first two months he will be off his cast and in the gym. I bet the watertight FD at arsenal is wetting his pants at those stats, with the worry that he may never fully recover or play to that standard again. So if they were forced to release him it would have cost Arsenal just over £11 mill for 6 months of him playing there. That includes wages and Signing Fee etc, how many has he scored? What a distaster Of course, if they had known he'd suffer this horrendous injury beforehand, they wouldn't have bought him in the first place, would they? Oh wait, no - Eduardo, the lazy fat bastard that he is, actually broke his leg on purpose. Your distateful conclusion is way too simple and doesn't do Eduardo any justice.

If you read back I have given my sympathies to Eduardo like everyone else has. Just pointing out how much this will cost Arsenal, not saying it's right or wrong . Calm down

ASH17LCFC Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Yeah Tommy, the lad has just had his career turn upside down and here you are taking shots at the poor lad. Get off his back ffs and show him the respect he deserves.

MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 You make me laugh! Give me some hard evidence without making it up that I've been taking shots at eduardo?! Someone please back me up, it hasn't happened. I was merely giving a different angle on the situation with , from the financial perspective of Arsenal? If you haven't got the intelligence to see that then it's worrying Since you are an expert in financial matters (Arsenal especially), how come you don't know *bleep* about the business and side agreements in a football contract? You're just poking fun at people for your own pleasure. You live on thin ice, son. Give me a break. Wait. Give yourself a break.

ASH17LCFC Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Yes. I have changed it now, don't worry about it mate.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Well if you could do your stuff I'd be grateful. I have behaved in this thread, even though you deleted the posts. Ash is in the wrong hereCheers I haven't deleted anything Tommy. I shall look into your request to have Ashs signature changed.

Manwell Pablo Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I'm fairly sure it's not all about money. As I said they'll be ****ing insured anyway that will pay for at least 50% of it.
Tommy G Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 As I said they'll be ****ing insured anyway that will pay for at least 50% of it. I wasn't aware of this, there was a fiasco with owen's insure after he fcuked his knee in the world cup? Newcastle didnt get the full amount ?
lildave3 Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 As I said they'll be ****ing insured anyway that will pay for at least 50% of it. Yeah but I bet Eduardo would rather have half of that, maybe even none of that, than break his leg.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I wasn't aware of this, there was a fiasco with owen's insure after he fcuked his knee in the world cup? Newcastle didnt get the full amount ? I can't remember what exactly it was about, I think it had something to do with the fact he was playing for England when it happened. They still got 20k a week mind! Yeah but I bet Eduardo would rather have half of that, maybe even none of that, than break his leg. I was thinking about this earlier, if someone offered me 3.6 mil to have my leg snapped in that manner would I take it. I concluded probabley not.
Trumpet Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I'm sure the kid would rather be earning his money AND playing the game, rather than have his ankle hanging onto his leg by skin and picking up his pay packet tbh.
Tommy G Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Yeah but I bet Eduardo would rather have half of that, maybe even none of that, than break his leg. I'd imagine the club would be given most of the insurance payout, with Eduardo getting some. I'd have also thought either arsenal or eduardo will have taken out some kind of personal liability insurance to protect players if they get injured, the premiums must be sky high though. The original post was more about the fact of how much it will cost arsenal, in terms of money and the quality of player lost for the period of time in question. Nothing to do with whether eduardo would prefere to break his leg or get the money as some people perceived it as!

I concluded probabley not. I wouldn't. It's blatantly never going to be the same again, and i'd much rather have a fully functioning, football playing leg (well, 2 would be handy.) than money. Maybe this is just another example of my ridiculous obsession with football though.

To be fair, it looks good on paper. 3.6 million, 15 mionths with a broken leg.. but i probably wouldn't take it. I actually hope I never have to be put in that situation.

Your correct, its very unlikey that someone will ever have a suitcase of cash amounting to £3.6 mill and willing to break your leg!
