Hello, anyone see what happened to him, I literally tuned in 1 second after he got injured so I didn't know how he got injured. Apparently, it is quite bad.. did anyone see it?

You couldn't really see it, but it was obviously horrific as they couldn't show it again, my thoughts are with him and I hope he plays again.

And listening to Geoff Shreeves it sounds even worse than first thought. :(

No i didnt see it either i am watching the game, but at that moment just happened to be reading the newspaper, when i heard Taylor had been sent off.

It must have been absolutely horrific though, even for the them not show the replay!

Best of look to Eduardo!

Hope he makes a speedy recovery!!

I didnt think the tackle looked bad 'live' but if they aren't playing the replays due to "poor taste" and "to upsetting" then its going to be really bad.

I really feel for him, i think he is a great player to watch

Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva suffered an horrific broken leg in the opening minutes of the Premier League clash with Birmingham.

The Croatia international was challenged by Birmingham's Martin Taylor in the third minute of the game at St Andrews with the centre-back being shown an immediate red card by referee Mike Dean.

Eduardo's clearly distressed team-mates immediately signalled to the sidelines that urgent attention was required and the game was held up for seven minutes as he received treatment on the field.

The injury was deemed to be so serious that replays of the incident were not shown on television.

Photographs of the challenge and the immediate aftermath suggest the injury is similar to the break suffered by Manchester United forward Alan Smith during their FA Cup defeat at Liverpool in 2006.

Eduardo is now facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines and is certain to miss the remainder of this campaign and Croatia's Euro 2008 challenge in the summer.

Hope the lad recovers

I missed it but my Dad saw it he didnt think it looked like that bad of a tackle but the ref thought it was bad enough to show a straight red.

Obviously it must have broke his ankle or leg. Probably a severe break from the reaction of the players.

Makes me remember David Busst a few years ago.

Hope this isnt a career ender.

His bone comes out of his ankle and through his sock. I'll upload them if i'm allowed?

PM if not, I'm curious even though I know it's weird to be.

So nobody has got the link to youtube or pics? I doubt they will show it on MOTD either tonight then...

Recently tackles have been flying in - it was bound to happen sooner rather than later
