Thracian Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 I hope people don't expect alot from this game, we're near the foot of the away form table and cardiff are second top in the home form, a draw would be a good result considering. A loss would hardly be suprising. But people are having to expect a lot. We've used up most of our leeway. Yes, a draw would be something but, sooner or later, we have to win games and this idea that we'll sail through our home games is highly unlikely. We haven't done it much in recent seasons and even this season we've won six and drawn or lost 11 at home.

Mark Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Confirmed team. Henderson Stearman N'Gotty Kisnorbo Clapham Hume Clemence Oakley Hendrie Campbell Howard Subs: Chambers, Fryatt, Wesolowski, Mattock, Hayles
StroudFox Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Confirmed team.Henderson Stearman N'Gotty Kisnorbo Clapham Hume Clemence Oakley Hendrie Campbell Howard Subs: Chambers, Fryatt, Wesolowski, Mattock, Hayles Thanks!! No hungarians in sight!
Koke Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Confirmed team.Henderson Stearman N'Gotty Kisnorbo Clapham Hume Clemence Oakley Hendrie Campbell Howard Subs: Chambers, Fryatt, Wesolowski, Mattock, Hayles As expected. Nice to have Weso back in the squad but would have thought King would have had a spot on the bench. At very least.
MikeyT Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 As expected. Nice to have Weso back in the squad but would have thought King would have had a spot on the bench. At very least. Damn, you beat me to it! Looking at that team on paper, i think thats a really good, strong team. Just need them to play AS a team now!
Mort Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Confirmed team.Henderson Stearman N'Gotty Kisnorbo Clapham Hume Clemence Oakley Hendrie Campbell Howard Subs: Chambers, Fryatt, Wesolowski, Mattock, Hayles No wide players, at the very least it'd be worth having either Bori or Laz on the bench... all in all it's pretty much as you were (bar Hendo of course).
breadandcheese Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Still playing Hume on the right wing. He's not looked effective playing there but I guess options are limited. I think we should at least consider Oakley out there if we need to make a change. Would have thought King would be pushing for a place on the bench.
MikeyT Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Looking at that team I do not feel confident at all. Really???? The only player im a bit iffy about is Henderson...the rest im happy with! Arguably though Hume should be up front!
Anish Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Again no wide players. Hendrie is no winger and will drift inside, as will Hume. We'll end up leaving the full backs exposed again and will just pump the ball long as there will be nobody wide to offer themselves. I can see this being Coventry all over.
Jack Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Really???? The only player im a bit iffy about is Henderson...the rest im happy with! Arguably though Hume should be up front! We have no width. Don't feel confident in N'Gotty or Henderson.

I think we should at least consider Oakley out there if we need to make a change.Would have thought King would be pushing for a place on the bench. Especially as King can also provide an attacking option in central midfield, can provide late support into the box particularly for corners and set pieces and also a good efensive option if we need to go 4-5-1 and hold on to a lead. Weso's shown the form that should have seen him back in the side but, in the end, as always, he sticks by his old pals. We're so limited but a win will put a smile back on everyone's faces so finger's crossed I guess although I'm finding it so hard to forgive and forget so much of what has gone on.
Thracian Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Keeper's mistake and DJ fails to take a simple chance. Confidence!
breadandcheese Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Keeper's mistake and DJ fails to take a simple chance. Confidence! DJ does surprise me. I think, like many, that I'm wondering whether DJ should be put back onto the bench and Hume pushed forward. DJ is fast becoming the new Elvis. Pace without enough thought.* *He will probably score now to show me up as a true armchair pundit.
Thracian Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Hendrie and Clemence dead ball kicks threatened something but Enckelman foils Kissa.

I would love to be proven wrong though.
