How was he? I'm a fan, specifically compared to McAuley, who very badly needs to work on his passing and composure in possession. I'd never play them both, but I'd prefer N'gotty alongside Kisnorbo because of that.

Surprisingly, given his age, Bruno is also quicker than McAuley. I would pick Kis and Bruno every time at this moment in time.

Be interesting to hear what the travelling fans say but while Barber referred to some hefty whacks into row "Z" is is difficult to remember Cardiff creating very much from open play at all.

Walshie referred to how well we were passing the ball at times (16 passes in one move) and I didn't get the feeling there was endless hoofing from the back.

Apart from a bit of pressure towards the end and a clever chip from Jimmy Floyd H you got the feeling their best chance of a goal was from the free-kicks we donated them around the edge of the box and the blame for those seemed to be evenly distributed through the defence and midfield.

I was surprised really and expected Cardiff to apply far more pressure than they did.

That said, you could argue that that may be down to better passing out and long balls not coming back at us straight away, as they do so often.

I'm sure it was. Giving the ball away always means increased pressure. If I had to put our faults in order this season, that would be the worst...giving the ball away with our first pass from defence.

Steady away, looked a bit shakey occasionally but didn't make any costly mistakes or owt. Not much different to McAuley.

Didn't let anyone in behind him today though, which McAuley's done on a number of occasions recently.

I remember chanting his name a few times so I'm guessing he did something decent more than once...but I really have hazy recollection what that might have been.

In fact, I think I am struggling to remember most of the match beyond the fact that it seemed to be over very quickly and I fell over when leaving (twisting my damn ankle and buggering my knee).

Surprise, surprise, I'm going to disagree! Only to a degree, though. I have seen us giving the ball unnecessarily at times, when not being put under pressure. All too often, our defence puts itself under pressure, by delaying far too long before releasing the ball. It is frustrating.

If you look at our basic game, we are somewhat lacking at times. Then we embarass ourselves by trying to be too clever, and I could really go on.

I personally think McAuley's isn't that bad. McAuley certainly looks more composed than Big Bruno. So yes. Imo.

He was decent yesterday but to be fair he had very little to do that challenged him.

Overall I'd still have McAuley in my first team anyday. For me Bruno still looks a little clumsy at times and I think McAuley's a bit more assured at the back. For me McAuley poses a bit more of an attacking threat also.

But he's definitely a good backup option for us and I'm relatively happy enough to see him stand in for either of our centre backs when he's required.

Seem to recall him being absolutly awful against Stoke at the Walkers, having said that the whole team were awful that day!
