act smiley Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 A Welsh side going to Wemberlee, possibly taking a European place away from an English team?:laugh: They can't do that, so basically they can't go into Europe until the FAW shifts a UEFA Cup qualifier spot from the Welsh Cup to the Premier Cup, or lets non Welsh League sides back into the Welsh Cup. Also, saw that one coming and was tempted to go out and put a fiver on it happening, but slept in cause of a hangover. Damn. I don't think it really devalues the FA Cup if the big sides get too cocky over it, I think its a good thing. If none of them ever put in any effort and basically treat it like a reserve team competition it might take some of the shine off, but when they're playing a side like Chelsea did, that contains a set of players that teams like Barnsley could only dream of even if its lacking one or two names, or Boro playing their first team and getting humped, or a full strength Man Utd side finally having a match where they don't get all the luck, I don't think it harms the competition to see the smaller sides getting wins - its what the Cup is about surely. World of difference between a competition that they don't always win and one that they don't take seriously enough (which Liverpool are the only big four side that could be said of this year).

I would think Portsmouth will go onto win it now.... I would be very happy for " Arry Redknapp" if they were to win it, but we shouldn't be saying that really, that is how great it is, a team other than Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea winning it!! Although i do hate the idea of the semi final's being played at wembley, ok it is great for the teams that dont make it, but in my opininon it takes the gloss off the final to be honest!! Ollie on BEEB..... Love it!!
