steve howard???? what an absolut useless waste of money and space!!! what the heck does he do for us??? we just boot the ball up to him because he's big, then the useless twat loses it or slices the ball somewhere!!!! 3 goals in 19 games??? and 2 of those he scuffed!!!!! fryatt needs to start ahead of this donkey, ok i know fryatt missed a sitter tonight, but at least he has a go!! i know this sounds harsh but howard is a total waste of space and if he starts, we will go down

I take your point about Howard... but thinking Fryatt is the answer is utter bull! He was cack today (as was Howard) but with Fryatt it's been a trend for the best part of three years, he's not the saviour!

I dont know where you get 19 games from, its actually around 14 that includes sub appearances, and has scored 3.

Fryatt has had 28 games including sub appearances, and scored 3.

At least Fryatt has a go? Yes his goals tally really indicates that doesnt it. And as for saying Howards goals were scuffed, well i depsair. Im in no way defending Howard, i just like to state the facts instead of talking shite.

In a way I'd like him to chuck on Ricky Sappleton just to shake things up. He can't do much worse.

ah ok sorry its 14 games not 19 how much shit do i talk?? wow..... you've totally missed the point there havent you, were you bored and felt you had to have a go at someone ? my point was that howard needs to be dropped because he doesnt do a damn thing , unlike fryatt who at least has some energy when plays! ow often did you hear howards name tonight ? u didnt! when did you hear fryatts? every time we attacked!! because he's usefull,he trys he "has a go" unlike howard who was ment to be this great goalscorer who could cut it in this league.....!! what a load of parp!! infact howard has made a total of 34 apperances this season and scored 4 goals.. wow...and as yuo can see most people on this thread agree so if you dont mind ill carry on talking "shite" and you can take your "stats" and shove em up your behind!! :-)

I'm not one of those who sees FRYATT as the saviour, but I do see Howard is not performing well enough at the moment. Start Fryatt, he couldn't do any worse! Fryatt and Hume or Fryatt and DJ Hayles boot boy!

I'm not here to have a go at people, i corrected you about being wrong about something. FACT.

Right ok. You say Howards name doesnt get mentioned often, and he doesnt do enough, well hello, wake up will you, the stats done lie. Howard has scored the same amount of goals as Fryatt in pretty much exactly half the games. Who gives a shit how often a players name gets mentioned on the radio, i couldnt give a toss, you seem to be forgetting its Barber commentating.

As for Howards goal tally this season, i wont even go into it....he's played most of them at a level Fryatt wouldnt dream of playing at.

I'll say it again, in THE CHAMPIONSHIP, Steven Howard has scored THE SAME AMOUNT OF GOALS as Matty Fryatt, in HALF THE GAMES.

Edit: Yes, and Fryatt would have scored that goal had he been playing the whole game. Failing that, he would of scored had he played 2/3 games in a row. Or he'd of scored it had he of played 10/15 games in a row, or had he got the whole season under his belt, and so on and so forth.....

And quite frankly mate, i couldnt give a fcuk who agrees with you or agrees with me, im stating concrete facts, not my opinion.

I'd start with DJ and Hume up front. I know that means we won'y have a 'big' man up front but let's face it, Howard's strike rate won't do at the minute and Hayles I don't think will be up to 90 mins (and as i guess we'd have to sub Deej at some point). I'd have Matty and Hayles on the bench, no sign of Howard whatsoever.

Maybe with 2 smaller strikers we might be encouraged to keep the ball on the ground a bit more.... but I doubt it

I think Howard has been poor/useless. The games I've seen, Ollie seems to play him as a target man to whom we hoof the ball up to expecting him to win the ball and create chances for speed merchants like Campbell and............................yeah for Campbell.

He isnt doing this. What kind of role did he play for Derby when he scored all those goals last season?

He is also slow and isnt mobile to provide a threat on the odd occasion the ball does come to his feet.
