We believe this will be a hugely interesting and high profile job for the successful candidate." "The ideal candidate will be somebody with a wealth of footballing experience who will be committed to making AFC Liverpool a success on the pitch. Finnegan Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008   Whiney ****s should try being Leicester fans if they can't appreciate what they've got.
Tevez Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 More like AFC Wimbledon wannabes. How many breakaway teams will there be by 2020?
dandannieldanok Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 FC United wannabes. They're run by people as greedy as those at Man United and I bet it will be exactly the same here.
lildave3 Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 More like AFC Wimbledon wannabes. How many breakaway teams will there be by 2020? 11. 6 of which will lose their novelty value and their fans will soon return to the proper clubs.
Samilktray Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 11.6 of which will lose their novelty value and their fans will soon return to the proper clubs. Who are the 11?
davieG Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 Can't understand the animosity, they're not doing anyone any harm no one is forcing anyone to be involved they are basically just football fans disillusioned with the way top flight football is going yet can't find it in their hearts to support a none Liverpool/existing team.
Samilktray Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 No idea. Oh Im guessing... Newcastle will have one.
Floating Fox Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 FC United wannabes. More like AFC Wimbledon wannabes. How many breakaway teams will there be by 2020? They're run by people as greedy as those at Man United and I bet it will be exactly the same here. Has anyone actaully seen what AFC liverpool are about? They're pathetic! They're not even a breakaway club. They want to be the alternative club. I.e Go & wactch Liverppol and them. The block who 'runs it' is also apparently a complete cock.

Not really the same as a proper breakaway club like FcUnited... This is the line I was looking for "The club is meant as a grassroots addition to Liverpool FC, not to be a replacement for it. " Whilst the idea of going back & giving supporters soul is fantastic, I dislike they way they are still pro-Liverpool. Why don't they just come out & attack the club, its owners etc. Would get more fans & more respect that way.

Or maybe they just can't afford current top flight football, I know that if LCFC ever got promoted that would be my attendance scuppered but for me I'd probably end up just watching the reserves/academy but everyone is entitled to their own solution if they are not affecting anyone else. If it's successful then they will have proved there is a need, if they fail well it's their failure and no one else's. As I say I just don't understand the animosity, indifference fine.

Don't get me wrong. I think that fans owning the football club is brilliant and I love clubs Like FcUnited (Ask anyone who knoes me even a lil' bit!) but I don't Agree with how they're doing it. My attendence would also drop, dramitcally If we went up so I'm in the same boat as you. I don't understand what their aims are if they're not opposing the current club. Whats the point of them existing? As an alternate to Premiership football? Well theres hundreds of non-league clubs that could do with the support & Money.
Raj Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008   Whiney ****s should try being Leicester fans if they can't appreciate what they've got. FCUK LIVERPOOL!
Simi Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Maybe if in the first place these fans weren't demanding for instant success and all that bollocks they would see more reasonable prices. Although that's not the main problem obviously.
Jay Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 I am baffled by Liverpool fans to be honest, they seem to worship Rafa Benitez but his rotation policy is what has cost them any chance of winning the league, FA Cup or League Cup and that's the one single reason for this. They seem to moan and groan about Benitez not getting money to spend YET he has spent close to maybe of £50million on signings this year alone more than Chelsea and Arsenal spent and close to the most money spent by a Premier League team!! what exactly do they want? I am almost certain that if Benitez had picked the best team available for every game Liverpool would easily be challenging for the title.
Fox You Forest Posted 15 March 2008 Posted 15 March 2008 Oh Im guessing... Newcastle will have one. Good shout.
Jordan Posted 16 March 2008 Posted 16 March 2008 P.S.: They could just support one of several already-existing non-league teams instead of clamoring for attention in this manner.
