Nosowicz Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Well in depseration it is time to look at the games of others around us and to try an guess how many points we need to beat them. Here is my guess this morning, which I am sure I will change my mind of by this evening: Leicester S****horpe (H) 3pts Sheff Utd (A) 0 pts Colchester (H) 3pts Barnsley (A) 1pt Sheff W (H) 1pt Stoke (A) 0pts Total Points 52 pts (44 + 8) Coventry Plymouth (H) 1pt Sheff W (A) 1pt Watford (A) 0pt Stoke (H) 0pt Colchester (A) 3pts Wolves (H) 1pt Charlton (A) 0pt Total Points 51 pts (45 + 6) Sheff Weds Stoke (A) 0pt Coventry (H) 1pt S****horpe (A) 3pts Sheff U (A) 0pt Plymouth (H) 1pt Blackpool (A) 1pt Leicester (A) 1pt Norwich (H) 0pt Total Points 51pts (44 + 7) Now one change in any result not going in our favour and we are gone ! So I am unsure if this is optimistic, pesimistic and/or realistic (apologies for the ***, but the board seems to beleive the team from Lincolnshire to be a swear word, strange)
CupidStunt Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 This is the way i see leicesters results going Leicester S****horpe (H) 1pts Sheff Utd (A) 1 pts Colchester (H) 3pts Barnsley (A) 0pt Sheff W (H) 1pt Stoke (A) 0pts you missed out southampton,i reckon they are going down

He obviously realises that his team may be in trouble !!
David Guiza Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Leicester S****horpe (H) 3pts Sheff Utd (A) 1 pt Colchester (H) 3pts Barnsley (A) 1pts Sheff W (H) 1pt Stoke (A) if we need it i rekon 1pt Total Points 54 pts (44 + 10) Coventry Plymouth (H) 3pts Sheff W (A) 1pt Watford (A) 0pt Stoke (H) 0pt Colchester (A) 3pts Wolves (H) 3pts Charlton (A) 0pt Total Points 55 pts (45 + 10) Sheff Weds Stoke (A) 0pt Coventry (H) 1pt S****horpe (A) 3pts Sheff U (A) 0pt Plymouth (H) 3pts Blackpool (A) 1pt Leicester (A) 1pt Norwich (H) 0pts Total Points 53 (44 + 9) Barnsley Burnley (A) 0pts Watford (A) 0pts Preston (A) 1pt Hull (H) 1pt Leicester (H) 1pt Charlton (H) 1pt Cardiff (A) 0pts Total Points 50 (46 + 4) Relegated

Kilworthfox Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Predictor I have us sneaking into 6th spot and going up beating Colchester @ Wembley
SamL Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Barnsley: 3pts (we love playing them and we had great support their at the same time last season, i know i will be going back there best away trip ive had, really freindly and welcoming fans aswell) I hope you were being sarcastic in the point I highlighted? I don't call throwing bricks at buses being friendly and welcoming, do you? Anyway, I think that the best we can hope for is:- S****horpe (W) - We've got to change our game plan and pack the midfield. Their game plan will be to sit back and defend and then hit us on the counter. Much similar to Blackpool on the opening day. We've got to beat these if we want to stay up. Sheff Utd (D) - Will be a tough game, but our away form has got better recently so I can see us snatching a point here. Colchester (W) - Basically the same as S****horpe, our survival hopes are pinned on these two home games. Must win. Barnsley (D) - See Sheff Utd. Sheff Wednesday (D) - They will be up for this game but it's a must win. Stoke (L) - I can see us needing a point to stay up and them needing a point to go up, will be extremely tough. Stoke away was a good laugh last season, hopefully we can take a couple of thousand to this one, providing we're safe.
Ultra Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Oh come on all of you lets have a bit more positivity:S****horpe: 3pts Sheffield Utd: 0pts Colchester: 3pts Barnsley: 3pts (we love playing them and we had great support their at the same time last season, i know i will be going back there best away trip ive had, really freindly and welcoming fans aswell) Sheffield Wednesday: 3pts(they cant score for shit and have an awful defence) Stoke: 0pts There you go twelve points nice and safe in my opinion, chin up lads Calling for positivity? Predicting not two but THREE wins a row?... You obviously haven't been to many games this season, or indeed in the last four seasons..
Kilworthfox Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 S****horpe (W) - Must Win No Excuses! However bad we have been they are worse. Sheff Utd (D) - Does not matter Colchester (W) - Must Win No Excuses! However bad we have been they are much worse! Barnsley (D) - Always Win would accept draw min! Should win if results are to go by. Sheff Wednesday (D) - Must not Lose! Stoke (L) - Does not matter if we pick up 9 pints we are dandy! I think 52points will be enough, I think we will get 10 points to be honest, plus we have the best + - goal difference in the division which is worth alot if we draw level.
davieG Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Oh come on all of you lets have a bit more positivity:S****horpe: 3pts Sheffield Utd: 0pts Colchester: 3pts Barnsley: 3pts (we love playing them and we had great support their at the same time last season, i know i will be going back there best away trip ive had, really freindly and welcoming fans aswell) Sheffield Wednesday: 3pts(they cant score for shit and have an awful defence) Stoke: 0pts There you go twelve points nice and safe in my opinion, chin up lads So you're predicting 3 wins on the trot and as for Sheff Weds not scoring well they got 2 more than us on saturday
Sods Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Lets be realistic here, we haven't won two games on the trot all season. Our last three home games we have taken 1 point in which we couldn't score its games like that which will decide our future. On top of that we are playing Stoke and Sheff United. Stoke will be still looking for revenge from 96. Sheff Untied have hit form. To be honest i expect us to get nothing in those games. 1 point would be a bonus. That leaves us with Scun tphorpe, Sheff Wednesday, Colchester and Barnsley. If we can't get wins against those then we don't deserve to stay up and we will go down. Its going to go right down to the last game, i hate to say it but i think the maximium we will get is 8 points which sadly i don't think will be enough.
Finchy Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Can people really see Cov getting that many? They can't score at all, so i'm pretty sure they won't even beat Colchester away because Colchester always score at home. I can't see them getting anything at Wednesday, because Wednesday are scoring goals at home and they will be up for that. I really can't see them winning any of those games. As for us, if we lose to S****horpe on Sat we're hoping for a miracle, simple as that. But anyway doing these prediction things is completely pointless, it's not like anyone can predict any of these Championship games. Anyone predict 4-1 at West Brom?
davieG Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 We've got people saying/believing that Cov, Southampton, Barnsley and Sheff Weds can't/wont pick up points because they're are crap, can't score, can't win at home/away and yet believe that LCFC are going to suddenly turn it around and win 3/4 games from 6. Off course they could but that's more blind hope than belief.
Kilworthfox Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Run Ins Coventry Plymouth Home Sheff Wed Away Watford Away Stoke Home Colchester Away Wolves Home Charlton Away Southampton Cardiff away Bristol C Home Charlton Away Burnley Home West Brom Away Sheff U Home Sheff Wednesday Stoke Home Coventry Home S****horpe Away Sheff Utd Away Plymouth Home Blackpool Away Leicester Away Norwich Home Barnsley Burnley Away Watford Away Hull Home Leicester Home 4 days after Hull Charlton Home Cardiff Away
Tilley Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I expect Sheff Wed to stay up. & the last relegation spot to be between us, Cov & S'oton & maybe Barnsley might be dragged into it. I think/hope we will stay up. Just!
Finchy Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Coventry Plymouth Home (1) Sheff Wed Away (0) Watford Away (0) Stoke Home (1) Colchester Away (1) Wolves Home (1) Charlton Away (0) TOTAL: 49 Southampton Cardiff away (0) Bristol C Home (1) Charlton Away (0) Burnley Home (0) West Brom Away (0) Sheff U Home (1) TOTAL: 48 Sheff Wednesday Stoke Home (1) Coventry Home (3) S****horpe Away (3) Sheff Utd Away (3) Plymouth Home (3) Blackpool Away (1) Leicester Away (1) Norwich Home (1) TOTAL: 60 Barnsley Burnley Away (0) Watford Away (0) Hull Home (0) Leicester Home (3) Charlton Home (1) Cardiff Away (0) TOTAL: 50 I think 1 win and a few draws will be enough and we can get that without a doubt!!! It's gonna be tight but Southampton look so much worse than us, if we can just get that one win on Sat to get above them, a few draws after that will be enough. It's gonna be ridiculously tight tho! But like i said if we lose on Saturday, we're asking for miracles.
Legend_in_blue Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Win our home games, which we ought to do, and we will stay up. Simple as. Lose any of these, or draw, and we deserve to go down. Simple as. Let's face it, if you can't beat S****horpe or Colchester or Sheffield Wednesday, you are RUBBISH. Simple as. Football. Pass and move. Simple as. But not for us.
Father Ted Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 PredictorI have us sneaking into 6th spot and going up beating Colchester @ Wembley I did the Predictor and it finished with... At the Top West Brom, Stoke and Bristol City all on the same points but West Brom and Stoke go up on goal difference. Play-offs are: Bristol City, Hull, Watford and Plymouth with Ipswich missing out on GD At the bottom of the table its... COV TO GO DOWN with 47 points. Southampton have 48, Norwich 51, Preston and Us on 54.
sdb Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 i say we support the team 100% for the rest of the season no matter what - it could make all the difference then if we go down we can give them hell, and we can all moan non-stop, which is evidently most people on heres hobby
CupidStunt Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I just used the predictor, and this is what it gave,Got us down to be safe before the stoke game 20.Leicester 50 21.Southampton 50 22.Coventry 48 23.scumthorpe 45 24.colchester 34 A little different to what i said intially,as i think southampton are doomed.. i think another 6 points is enough the only game, you would bet us taking nothing from is the stoke game I feel we have a chance of taking something from the rest
Narborough Bod Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Win our home games, which we ought to do, and we will stay up. Simple as.Lose any of these, or draw, and we deserve to go down. Simple as. Let's face it, if you can't beat S****horpe or Colchester or Sheffield Wednesday, you are RUBBISH. Simple as. Football. Pass and move. Simple as. But not for us. Exactly, if you can't beat the bottom 3 clubs in our precarious position you deserve to go down. Lets hope Mandaric buys every merc and lays them on the pitch so that City on paper can turn up instead of city on grass!!
Jack Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Leicester S****horpe (H) 3pts Sheff Utd (A) 0 pts Colchester (H) 3pts Barnsley (A) 0pts Sheff W (H) 1pt Stoke (A) 1pt Total Points 52 pts (44 + 8) Coventry Plymouth (H) 0pt Sheff W (A) 1pt Watford (A) 0pt Stoke (H) 0pt Colchester (A) 3pts Wolves (H) 3pts Charlton (A) 1pt Total Points 53 pts (45 + 8) Sheff Weds Stoke (A) 0pt Coventry (H) 1pt S****horpe (A) 3pts Sheff U (A) 0pt Plymouth (H) 1pt Blackpool (A) 0pts Leicester (A) 1pt Norwich (H) 3pts Total Points 53pts (44 + 9) I have us to go down by a point behind both Wednesday and Cov, things are not looking good at all. I hope to god I am wrong.
