Watching the FA Cup semi final yesterday made me realise how much this pair bore the life out of me Motsons had his day and should move on it's getting to the point where I can't actually watch because they are so dull and uninteresting yet they ALWAYS see to get the live matches on the BBC.

Lawro's always been a prat, but as long as Garth Crooks isn't on (or that awful female commentator) then i'll cope

John Motson is still an excellent commentator. However his constant facts to tend to get on my nerves, and when there's not much happening he can be very annoying. Motty is a great "highlights commentator" his action calling is still top class, but on live games I'm not a fan. Still, we won't have him on the FA Cup next year as it's on ITV so we have the excellent Clive Tyldesley. There was talk of Motty going to Setanta but it now looks unlikely. I like Lawro though, he's good to listen to but I prefer ITV's Jim Beglin.

I hate his facts also. Like when he "recalls" certain things. For example, "Of course the experienced Estonian left back had a trial spell at Canvey Island as I recall." He doesn't recall, he scans wikipedia.

I'm pleased ITV are getting hold of England coverage as well. Motson always seems to jinx England, like in Euro 2004, when England went ahead, he immediately bought up the 2002 scenario when they lost their lead. I know that it's been hard to be positive about England in recent times, but for Christ's sake, when they're beating Portugal, stay fooking positive!

Pleat makes me laugh in a way Motson never could. No matter how many times I hear gems such as "Shebomba", "Malbrank", "Jayneus" and "Berbov", I still find myself in fits. Another classic is "I like this lad, he's got two feet." I don't prefer ITV in general, I just hate Motson.

In fact, I think I hate ITV as well. Who's the guy that sounds like he's quoting Shakespeare or describing the horrors of war? He commentated on the Man United - Roma game the other night. Completely up his own arse.

Though Pleat is a bellend, his stupidness is hilarious. Who heard Graeme Souness call Adebayor, Abedayor the other night, trying to correct himself after saying something inaudible the first time ? hilarious.

I would much rather have John Motson commentating than someone like John Barnes. Whenever I begin to watch Channel 5 Italian football, I am enjoying the first 30 seconds and then... Barnes pipes up and I switch off

Clive Tydlesley is definitely, well probably the best commentator that there is at the moment. Although that woman on MOTD...

And as for David Pleat the t*at... no wonder he took us nowhere... he knows fook all, he's mad in the head.
