SamL Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Tonight it's the finish of these matchesStephen Lee (Eng) 2-7 Joe Swail (NI) Peter Ebdon (Eng) 4-5 Jamie Cope (Eng) That would be a fantastic result for Jamie Cope if he can pull it off. Joe Swail's not doing too badly either.
SamL Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 I've just looked at the scores, a few shocks could be on the cards. Stephen Hendry is 6-3 down to Mark Allen, I never expected that one. A good win for Neil Robertson earlier, Socceroofox will be happy.

Not surprising really Hendry's been going down hill for the last couple of years whereas Mark Allen is a rising star who is progressing very quickly.
isaidno Posted 20 April 2008 Author Posted 20 April 2008 Watching Ebdon is like watching paint dry , Carter vs Hawkins is back on in a minute , final frame decider
SamL Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Todays order of play:- Monday 21 April - order of play1000: Ryan Day (Wal) 5-4 Michael Judge (Ire) Steve Davis (Eng) v Stuart Bingham (Eng) 1430: Stephen Hendry (Sco) 3-6 Mark Allen (NI) Mark Selby (Eng) v Mark King (Eng) 1900: Steve Davis (Eng) v Stuart Bingham (Eng) Mark Williams (Wal) v Mark Davis (Eng) It's a shame Jamie Cope couldn't pull it off against Ebdon, I thought he played very well.

Raj Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 I bet fiver on Selby to win (11/2) and 2 squid E/W on Ebdon at 25/1
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Shocking this morning. of the four players in the arena Ryan Day is the only one playing anything resembling good snooker. I would have turned off by now if I wasn't at work.
isaidno Posted 21 April 2008 Author Posted 21 April 2008 I bet fiver on Selby to win (11/2)and 2 squid E/W on Ebdon at 25/1 If Selby wins he plays Ebdon next
Dr The Singh Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Selby's on now , won 1st frame It's got me in the mood, I bought a six foot snooker table not long ago, i'm gonna pretend to be selby and my 5 year old boy can be hendry!!!!
isaidno Posted 21 April 2008 Author Posted 21 April 2008 Just turned this on, seems very scrappy. I hope it finishes 5-4 then I get my money's worth tommorrow
Mark Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Averaging 35 minute frames at the moment I can only put up with him as he's a Leicester lad, it's a shame he's from the Peter Ebdon school of snooker. I'd actually be quite interested to see how long a Selby Ebdon match lasted, you'd be guaranteed a half hours safety each frame.

Should find out next match , they played each other in the semis last year I think
dandannieldanok Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Has the Hendry match finished yet? Yes he won 10-9. Allen only has himself to blame, had the chance to leave Hendry needing a snooker at 9-8 up, instead tried a ridiculously hard positional shot and missed the pot. Fair play to Stephen though, showed great determination considering his shaky form in the match.
SamL Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 I only saw the first frame of the Selby match but he played quality. Mark Allen was very unlucky, he played well as well.
isaidno Posted 21 April 2008 Author Posted 21 April 2008 Steve Davis was loosing 8-3 against Stuart Bingham, won the last 4 frames to make it 8-7, good match. Mark Williams is winning 8-0 against Mark Davis

dandannieldanok Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The Steve Davies match is quality, I want him to win. It's quality in the fact that it is humorous (both players would get crucified by O'Sullivan), and I also want Steve to win.
