SamL Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 I really wanted to go to one of the matches but couldn't get the time off. Weak. I'm looking forward to watching it on TV though, I hope its a quality tournament. I really hope Selby can go one better this year. Come on Mark.
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Yep looking forward to it. Good tournament to watch at work.

Back in the day didn't there us to be more? As in 32.

Bert Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Did there? No. Top 16 in the world get a "seeded draw" The rest have to qualify.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 No.Top 16 in the world get a "seeded draw" The rest have to qualify. Thats what I thought. What you on about James
Ric Flair Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Love this tournament. Hope it's a Selby v O'Sullivan final. The two snooker players who have my utmost respect. I also think Selby is one of only a few players who can naturally handle playing O'Sullivan and keep to their own game instead of trying to match O'Sullivan's wizardry. Some value in the odds there for some each way bets.
FleckneyFox Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Murphy vs Selby final for me, best mates and their match at the last World Champs was a cracker.

That can't happen because they are both in the same half of the draw, they are scheduled to meet in the quarters. If all results go to plan Selby will play Ebdon in 2nd round, Murphy in quarters and Maguire in semis, not easy.

Likely run for Selby would be King, Ebdon, Robertson, Higgins & O' suliivan
lildave3 Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Mark King? Whatever the outcome, he's going to some mean slap bass.

isaidno Posted 18 April 2008 Author Posted 18 April 2008 http://www.worldsnooker.com/tournament_lat...rawsheet-86.htmThis suggests Murphy and Selby are in the same half Yes , you are right. I've also found that the match I'm seeing is the concluding session, not the 1st 8 frames. If Selby wins 10-0 I only get to see 2 frames. The match on the other table is Ding vs Fu
isaidno Posted 19 April 2008 Author Posted 19 April 2008 Anyone watching Higgins vs Stevens. Higgins was winning 7-2, it's now 7 -5
Uncle Albert Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Anyone else playing tonight mate? I cannot be arsed to look.
