I best not have to :frusty:

IE is pure shite, FF rules, or did

That happens to me every time, you have to reset your firewall to allow it to operate.

Are you using PC Tools Firewall Plus?

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Thats the error message i get, just gone into window firewall and added Firefox, to allow it and it wont work <_<

Norton really is bad, when you uninstall it, some of it still stays on the computer.

You should try AVG, I've never had any problems with it. :thumbup:http://free.grisoft.com/

I've installed the Firefox update and haven't had any trouble with it, touch wood.

Very much so. In fact I have seen the memory it consumes grow by 600% during the day and yet never seems to release any of those resources. :dunno:

Download a program called Norton Uninstaller, that removes absolutely everything to do with Norton from your PC.

Norton Uninstaller

Working in IT myself, that is the first thing I advise people to do it be rid of the shit that is Norton and just going for something free like AVG or Avast.

But then if you are very careful about what you download (only download from reputable sources, never open suspect emails) you shouldn't need anti-virus anyway

Cheers for the info.

My Norton subscription runs out at the end of April and I am absolutely not inclined to renew it. The things it has done to my system, plus all the nightmare stories I've heard in the past few months have made me change my mind.

As soon as I've got it all removed, I'll put Kaspersky on. Better, more reliable and smoother to run.

No more automatic updates that are killing the processor speed. Hooray.
