Wanted to go to Benicassim but no one else is free/up for it. My ex went to Rio and said it was top - go to the outskirts of the favelas (be careful!) and you can buy cool paintings, scarves etc if you're that way inclined. Topped off by staying in a 5 star hotel It is so good. You'll love it. I didn't like how long the flight was though
DB11 Posted 18 April 2008 Posted 18 April 2008 Places I went: Sugar Loaf Mountain, The Statue of Chris thing, Maracana. I watched Flamengo and the atmosphere was crazy. Flares going off and everything. One word of warning... the toilets, or lack of. There was just a couple of those toilets you get on building sites (porta loos or something??) and they smelt so bad (Stadium tour is a must too ), Some Botanical Gardens (that was shit), the beaches (the sand was soooooooo hot)
