Milky Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 When he's in that tenacious mood, snapping into challenges, and amusingly throwing himself in to areas his size gives him no right to be; he's such a great player to watch. Puts a real smile on your face at times. Luv 'im! It's the likes of Weso that make you feel a bit more of a connection to the club. Role on Gradel aswell!
DB11 Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 He's getting better but today was still not good enough.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Bit sick of the likes of Howard and Oakley. Don't see the point of them if we're not getting results. We might as well have had Weso in all season whenever he was fit. I would prefer to see us in League One with a midfield along the lines of Beswick, King, Wesolowski and Gradel than another season in this league with the team changing every three weeks to be honest. The younger players look more up for it generally and while they are constantly over-hyped, it is easier for fans to identify with them. None of the senior players brought in this season have aided the youngsters one bit. For all the people that foresaw that, then hollow congratulations to you.

Summed up perfectly sir It would be nice to feel a bit of an affiliation with the players. The club has lost its soul!
Joe. Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Very creditable performance today, as I put in my match ratings I thought he was the best player on the park today. We need players with his sort of fight at the moment, he can be extremely effective in the middle with his tenaciousness. He joined in with attacks very well today I thought which is always promising. I just hope he can keep free of injuries and he should blossom into a player that could cut it at a higher level one day.
isaidno Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Brilliant in the first half, faded a bit in the 2nd, one of our bettter players today
Jack Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 I rate Wesolowski, he plays with fire in his stomach. I really would like to see what he is capable of if he can stay fit and cement a regular first team place next season.
SamL Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Wesolowski is on the back of my shirt. I thought he was probably our best player today. Nice to see him get stuck in well. I hope we can keep him for next season. If he stays fit, I'm sure he'll be a good player for us.

I hate him Watching how crap the team was at some parts of the game was funny though
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Why is King not playing at the minute? Seemed decent when he played, was never afraid to have a shot, and would seem to suit Weso's style perfectly.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Why is King not playing at the minute? Seemed decent when he played, was never afraid to have a shot, and would seem to suit Weso's style perfectly. Chosen man syndrome.
Corky Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 What gets me annoyed is the face that the combined height of Hume and Wesolowski is still shorter than Howard, yet they both win more headers. I like Wesolowski, good little player who gets stuck in.

He was going to go on loan to Yeovil a few weeks back, but Leicester stopped it because he may have been needed in our run in. Turns out they've not used him at all, not even on the bench. Would've been a nice little oppotunity for him.

He's certainly got enough about him to be a good, consistent performer in League One, considering he showed a fair few talents in the Championship.
FilboFox Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 My favourite Citeh player... he's a leg end. Hope he doesn't leave and spurs the team on with another performance like that one on Saturday to keep us up!

They're "over-hyped" cos that's he best balanced midfield we've got - whatever division we're in - and we've never used it. Three potential scorers in that lot. And barely a goal to be had from a whole season of the others. If you add the loanees Bell and Hendrie it gives some indication of how little excuse we have for being anywhere near the bottom of the table. Weso's a gem.
