Wouldn't count on it - I blame the Thracian underclass for diluting the Roman army and allowing the Goths to sack the joint.

I wanted Sean O'Driscoll last time, I want him next time and when he's not appointed I'll want him the time after next. What the man did at Bournemouth on a nil budget and what he's done at Doncaster on a slightly more than nil budget is remarkable. His teams play football on the ground, he develops a pattern and fits his teams to that pattern. Bournemouth vs Lincoln in the POFinal a couple of seasons back was a joy to watch. The Cherries passed Lincoln off the park. If we do go down he has experience at Div 1 level and he's bringing Donny up this year.

Yes, it's SOD for me.

More like "Sean O'Driscoll's Super Slick Passing Proper Footballing Team Army". Plus we'd get loads of Pooroldpomepy up and comers on loan as SOD is mates with Harry.

If he got over his obsession with OAP's i would have Mickey Adams back in a flash especially i he was backed by some cash, i mean when i got

that small transfer kitty in 04/05 he did buy David Connolly and was linked strongly with Marlon Harewood who back then would of pi**ed all

over the championship together.

Let's get the Pope in - "shoes off", "we paid for your hat", driving to away games in his little glass-screened Pope-buggy and he'd appear from an executive box every Saturday.

Who better to push us to Champions League glory than the (Catholic) God's best mate?

Anyone gets in our way - we can Inquisition their arse.

If there's been a better suggestion then I've not read it.

Pope-y, what's the score? Pope-y, Pope-y what's the score?

Like the idea of Ince or Ferguson but doubt that either would want to take on this poisoned chalice seeing as they both may well finish above us next season if we go down . To be honest i expect another failed manager as the next appointment

****ing hell... Looking at some of the names mentioned its obvious some people arn't taking the threat of relegation seriously..

Also, why would Paul Ince or Darren Ferguson come here?? Both have Millionaire owners who want to invest in the playing squad and are held in high regard after doing great jobs where they are..

Duncan Ferguson has spent a lot more then Ince. Ince has only spent about £100K and won the league. Anyway, you aint getting another of our managers in less then a year. Especially if you end up in the same division as us.

Winkleman just reminds me of a character out of some Dickensian novel. Bit like Uriah Heep...and i don't mean the rock band.

Why settle for the Pope when the "Messiah" (according to you, that is) is already here? :dunno:

Our supporters are deluded.... Maybe its the shock of whats about to happen :(

Yes, you can see the news story now:

Former Newcastle United and Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has chosen to forsake any further chance of Premiership football for the foreseeable future by linking up with Milan Mandaric as manager at Leicester.

Said Allardyce: "I'm a humanist. I saw how tired and worn out Milan was looking and thought it's time I did something for a fellow football man.

"Besides, the Premiership's such a rat race. I wanted to get back to the roots of football. And places like Yeovil and Hereford are so close to the roots they spend more on pesticides than players."

Asked about the potentially short-term nature of working for Mandaric, Allardyce said with great candour: "The severance package you get with Milan he can sack me tomorrow.

"For many managers it's their ambition, not so much to work for Milan, but to get sacked by him."

What did Allardyce hope to achieve in his time at Leicester?

"Well," he said, "If I can get Stearman to eat proper breakfasts and stop some of the players them wearing silly coloured football boots it'll be a step forward. Long term I want to see at least two players in the attacking box but the pre-match warm-up doesn't count."

"Yes, it's ambitious but I think we can do it.

"Perhaps in the December home game against Hereford because a few of the foreign players will need to keep warm although there is some suggestion that Health and Safety want them mothballing from December through February to save any risk of them catching a cold."

It is understood Allardyce was chosen from a shortlist of three which is believed to have included RicFlair and Lildave 3 of FoxesTalk, the latter declaring that it was the only way he could be sure Sappleton was speedmarched into the first team with a view to him playing as both our main attacking strikers. :scarf::D
