Will League One bring back our traditions?

Now that we have entered the abbyss, will our club come back to it's traditions and fook off the loud music before the match, get rid of the jazzed up techno version of the PHG and bring beck th original, when we score a goal will we be given the silence we desire from the Tannoy, and will be get a crap and pointless half time entartainment rather than a race around the pitch? Lets get them Foxy ladies over to L1 that's where they are needed, but not at half time all game long

In all seriousness can we knock off the bullshit jazzed up version of crap football and just accept it for what it is? I like the traditions that the club have thrown away so easily. I want to feel more connected with the club and that does not mean an Americanised atmosphere (what do Americans know about atmosphere?)!

Lets have the singing back before we start, lets get the crowd going again

Get back the original PHG from Filbert Street, we all loved that!

No fookin Chelsea dagger, it is SHIT! If your under 12 it's great but the majority are not.

Nice idea in principle but you haven't got a hope in hell. Too many people like it, for some reason. I want no music before games (except for the original PHG) and no music after goals. It isn't going to happen though, I'm afraid.

Doubt it very much. If anything it'll get worse as they seem to think it's what attracts supporters. They'll probably try and bring back the missing 15,000 fans by playing chelsea dagger throughout the entire match and just turning it up a bit when we score.

With our football maybe the music is the most atteractive part of the day for some  What a sad state of affairs!

To all at the club and in the football world who disagree with my original post, you are cretins who are distroying not only our club but football in general, the sooner H&S and those who love the clipboard are gone the better for the national game and it's grass roots support.

I'm not sure the majority do like it though, I've certainly never spoke to someone that does. People are obviously go fooking mental when we score so I think it just gives the impression that everyone is loving it. We should have a mass letter writing campaign to the club about it soon, before all the people that remember how much better it was before are all dead.

The kids love it though, and the club is desperate to become family-orientated (which is commendable in many aspects). If they don't get rid of the music, maybe we could have a compromise- the fans choose the music to be played before the game, and what half-time entertainment should take place.

Strange I was 10 when I first started to go to Leicester, playing music after goals wouldn't have made me enjoy it anymore, in fact what I enjoyed more than anything was watching and listening to The Kop. Maybe kids are different these days. But sometimes I think the club just assumes people want these things.

Let's bring Filbert Street back while we're at it (I wish)

Seriously for me the original PHG should alwys be played when the players come out. I don't care about music before the game or at half time or half tiem 'entertainment' (I'd rather get a pie and a quick beer).

I do actually quite like Chelsea Dagger when we score though, maybe I'm on my own in that - or maybe if we scored more it might start to p!ss me off

not bothered by music before the game - if the right stuff is played it can help you get up for the game (not that we really need it)

I would like to see the original PHG back, its more traditional, less cheesy & when Henry used to play it live it was something that I felt was unique to our club which is always good

GET RID OF CHELSEA DAGGER!!! why you need music after a goal is scored is beyond me. Surley the whole point is that you celebrate the goal & then start chants to follow so why you need help from the tannoy is a mystery to me. Its just 1 of those trends that all clubs seem to buy in to these days

Totally agree that the cheesed up music has taken a large slice of atmosphere away from Leicester.

The 'New' PHG is embarrasing to hear every game. Henry or the old PHG would be far far better. I would prefer it to be played like it was in the 90's - Republica Ready to go and followed by about 2 minutes of crowd noise, followed by the post horn gallop and tonnes of Sporting Blue falling through the air. It's not nostaglilia for me, it worked and it got everyone up for the game.

I do often wonder if PHG was changed because of its association with Fox hunting, and the ban went through about the same time they changed the music?

Chelsea Dagger is a useless waste. Get rid of it and let us chant!

Personally I would like a full scale rave before the game & then no music after the goals!

only cause they don't know any better.

at vålerenga the only music they play is the club song when the teams come out, and the crowd sing all game (admittedly, it helps that they are not forced to sit down or threatened with a life ban and immediate expulsion if they raise their voices)...

but the best thing is, it is full of all types from teenage/20 something lads to families, and the kids actually join in with the songs, they even do a 'come on, leicester, come on, leicester' equivalent, where the adults sing it and the kids sing the response...

and they do this cause they look around the ground and copy the adults. LCFC have opted to brainwash fans into retarded dummies from an early age.

tough shit for us

holy crap, of course, completely forgot about that - how hard would it be to get that going again... or are newspapers now banned from stadia!

It's got nothing to do with fox hunting, it was used to signal the arrival of the post, presumable why it's called the Post Horn Gallop.

We can't afford the cleaners, stewards have been informed to fine anyone dropping litter - a new revenue raising initiative :P

At least the club have stopped playing Status Quo after the game in the rare event of a home win. That was embarrassing, especially if we'd scraped a 1-0 win over someone shit and reacted as if we'd won the league.

I hate music after goals, and I can think of at least 3 away grounds I went to last season who are also playing Chelsea Dagger.

I find Carnaval de paris gets me fired up before games...
