The People's Hero Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Could the Foxes Trust get back the PA bloke who was at Filbert Street please? If you do then you'd have done something worthwhile for once If he came back and everyone was pleased about it the Trust would start campaigning to get him back right at the end when the battle was already won and then claim the credit.
Ultra Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 It's almost as if they are desperately trying to justify their own existence. Not that you'd ever seek to do that yourself, would you Jim?

Tubes Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 A big thumbs up to the Trust eh? http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/details.asp?b...6269754|p|536|0
MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 A big thumbs up to the Trust eh?http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/details.asp?b...6269754|p|536|0 Bloody hell. Bloody logic, where are you? We're down one league and have to pay more in order to "rebuild" what has been destroyed by some lazy and incompetent arses in the past few years. Many thanks, Milan Mandaric!!! I'm sure the fans will appreciate this new, more "open" communication style.
The People's Hero Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Feel the power of the Trust. Fans want ticket prices down (no movement). FT get involved (prices go up).
MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Feel the power of the Trust.Fans want ticket prices down (no movement). FT get involved (prices go up). FT vs. Club Owner. Two light sabres. Deathmatch. I'd put my money on the referee.
act smiley Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Well, stuff that then. I won't have the money for one until well into June, so that's one less season ticket, I'll just wait for one of those half-season ones they do when they're desperate, which they will be and do a few more aways. The thing is, this is a very odd calculated risk on their part, as even if everyone got them at the increased price rather than the freeze, its equivelant to selling 1500 extra tickets. With the renewals at frozen prices and the number of sales it might cost them they could have seriously shot themselves in the foot. Crank out the stats, someone?
Dr The Singh Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Feel the power of the Trust.Fans want ticket prices down (no movement). FT get involved (prices go up). It's real bummer that the prices have gone up though, I feel for those fans willing to pay the extra amount!!!!
Bluefoxtim Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Wait wait wait... The prices are not actually going up, they will be the same as last season. The early bird scheme is cheaper than normal, so Blanderson is talking rubbish, the prices are reverting back to their 'usual' not going up.
ibbosuk Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 1. we should be more expensive!2. Pricing is irrelevant I would buy a ticket for £1000 even in div 4 3. don't talk such shit you love our demise 4. Long live the Foxes Timewaste On a side issue not 1 fan would disagree with lowering ticket prices! This is a PR exercise, everyone knows the club take no notice of the Foxes Trust, FFS They take more notice of FoxesTalk than you lot See Holloway's missus You would be sitting in the ****in ground by yourself then dickhead.

The early-bird "reduction" just took it down to the final price of last season, now its going up to its new normal price, no? IE. 2007/08 - early bird 290 final 322 2008/09 - early bird 322 final 354 ?
The People's Hero Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 There's a pub near me called the Early Bird. It's rubbish though - you can only buy expensive fancy lager. Lots of people with cool hair and designer clothes hang out in there and talk about house prices and canapes.
MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 I'm eagerly awaiting the Foxes Trust's reaction to this.

That'll show 'em There is another pub across the road from me. It's called the Rifle Volunteers. I've never seen ANYBODY else in there apart from the guy who owns it. They only sell real ale (poorly kept real ale) and the prices are still under £2 a pint. The guy is weird though. If I go in there and have a few beers, when I leave (if it's after about 9) he shuts the pub. Bizarre, bizarre place. I tend to drink most indoors now, unless we're playing an interesting away game (cricket) cos there are some good pubs out in the sticks down here.

That's like having a jellied eels shop in Newcastle. Is the bloke talkative? I'd like to know his story. It wouldn't surprise me if he has a terrible secret. Anyway, back on topic - I was going to renew my ST at lunch time today ANYWAY but now it's going to look like I've down there just because they've announced the prices are going up. That's my studied veneer of cool shattered then. I'm devastated

Phlashman Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Well done the trust, way to underline how irrelivent you are. If I'm buying it'll be on the last day of early bird prices. What I don't like is the whole Ollie situation. Tell us whats happening and I'll be more inclined to make my mind up. I'll probibly renew if he stays or if he goes but it'd be nice to have some idea before I hand over the wonga.
MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Either way, Leicester City fans are in a terrrible situation. Buy a "cheap" season ticket now, not knowing whether Holloway will stay or not. Hear that Holloway is replaced and facing higher ST prices with the early bird discount gone by mid-June.

I don't think Ollie being the manager should be an issue, he will get sacked very soon if the team is shit....save yourselves some money and go and buy it!!!

Ollie being the manager IS the bloody issue. For God sake HE and HIS team got us relegated that's got to make it the biggest issue out. WE are now in Div 3 - along side the likes of Port Vale, Crewe etc; such distinguished company. Most supporters want the inept Holloway dismissed as he obviousy will not do the decent thing and fall on his sword. When he's gone my colleagues and I will buy otherwise the money stays in our back pockets.
davieG Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 From Foxes Trust Trust Calls for Deadline Delay Written by Foxes Trust Board Tuesday, 20 May 2008 Foxes Trust Press Release … for immediate use The Foxes Trust have called for the club to delay the deadline of it’s Early Bird Scheme saying it’s unfair for the club to expect fans to make decisions on their season ticket purchasing when the future of the club is unclear. Trust Chairman, Ian Bason, said “We had previously requested that the Early Bird Scheme deadline was delayed until June 30th, having noted Milan Mandaric’s comments late last week that the decision will not be taken on Ian Holloway’s future, and maybe Milan’s own future as Chairman until the second week of June, we think it is totally unfair to expect fans to renew now on that basis” Board Member Matt Davis explained “We support Milan in taking his time to duly consider what is right for the club going forwards, but at the same time fans should also be given more time” Davis said “We have previously also recommended that the Season Ticket prices should be re-assessed for League One football and we still believe a significant fall in the number of season ticket holders will result if the club doesn’t listen and reduce prices” Bason added “The club are keeping very quiet about what pricing will apply once the Early Bird Scheme finishes, surely the club doesn’t believe fans will be willing to pay more for League One football than they did last season in the Championship and if the club subsequently announces prices will be frozen following completion of the scheme, then the Early Bird promotion becomes at best mis-leading” As a reminder, earlier this month the Foxes Trust proposed the following changes to early bird pricing…. The East Stand Blocks J1,2 & 3 adult prices are reduced from £450 to a maximum of £399 The Kop & Family Stand adult prices are reduced from £322 to a maximum of £299 Other Areas of the ground to be adjusted in line with the above Direct Debit Administration Fees ideally scrapped, but as a maximum of £2 per month Early Bird deadline to be extended until 30th June so fans have a clearer picture of the clubs plans for next season. From the Merc 11:51 - 20 May 2008 Supporters groups today urged Leicester City to extend the Early Bird season-ticket deadline until strategic decisions for next season have been made. Owner and chairman Milan Mandaric ordered a price freeze until May 31 and sales have been "encouraging", according to the club. However, City fans will have to pay 10 per cent more for their season tickets from next month. From June 1, prices will rise, meaning the cheapest adult ticket going up from £275 to £303. Season tickets for the Kop and the Marks Electrical Family Stand will increase from £322 to £354. Now supporters groups have said the prices should remain frozen until questions - such as the future of manager Ian Holloway - have been resolved. Lance Tomlyn, Independent Supporters' Association chairman, said: "Given the fact we have been relegated and the fact nothing has yet been decided about the manager and players, I would have suggested the deadline should have been extended by at least another month. "I don't think it's fair to ask people to put their money forward when they don't know what's going to happen with the club." Foxes Trust board member Matt Davis said: "We support Milan in taking his time to duly consider what is right for the club, but at the same time fans should also be given more time. "We have previously also recommended the season-ticket prices should be reassessed for League One football, and we still believe a significant fall in the number of season-ticket holders will result if the club doesn't listen and reduce prices." Cliff Ginnetta, Supporters' Club chairman added: "We are saying 'perhaps they should hold them at the prices before'. "I think the season ticket has been a reasonable price for the last three or four years. "But, in this case, perhaps they would have been better to have waited to see how they get on this year. "People would be happier if they knew what the big plan was." City say that, despite relegation to League One, they are pleased with season-ticket sales, although at this stage they are not revealing how many have been sold. The club say the ticket office is preparing for a busy two weeks ahead of the May 31 deadline. And they urged fans to take advantage of the price freeze as City look to "rebuild" in a bid to win promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt. Chief executive Paul Aldridge said: "I'd like to thank those fans who have already pledged their support for next season. "The response from our fans so far has been terrific and the renewal figures are encouraging. "However, we are still urging more of our fans to take advantage of the Early Bird period. "It is no secret that maximising season-ticket income as early as possible is an important factor for the club in our re-building process. "The Early Bird discounts, compared to our prices after the cut-off date, are designed to accelerate sales as early as possible. "This will then allow Milan the opportunity to review what level of commitment he wishes to make to give the club the best possible chance of securing an immediate return to the Championship, which is our obvious goal next season. "Relegation hit everyone hard, but the response from the fans has really pleased the chairman, who is determined to help the club bounce back to the Championship at the first attempt." Supporters can renew or purchase season tickets at the club ticket office, by phoning 0844 815 5000 or by email at:a href="mailto:[email protected]" class="lblue" [email protected] /a
Bellend Sebastian Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 I renewed my ST today in a near deserted ticket office, but the lady that served me was adamant that sales were going really well. They'd already taken my money off me at that point, so I don't see why she'd lie about it. She reckoned as many sold so far as this time last year. I'm not surprised that prices are going up. Unpalatable as it is, the money's got to come from somewhere. I would have thought that the least they could do would be to include some cup fixtures in the price, which I'm crossing my fingers they may yet do
