Trust & Supporters Groups Call For Deadline Delay

Recommended Posts

The Foxes Trust therefore proposes the following changes to early bird pricing….

The East Stand Blocks J1,2 & 3 adult prices are reduced from £450 to a maximum of £399

The Kop & Family Stand adult prices are reduced from £322 to a maximum of £299

Other Areas of the ground to be adjusted in line with the above

Direct Debit Administration Fees ideally scrapped, but as a maximum of £2 per month

Early Bird deadline to be extended until 30th June so fans have a clearer picture of the clubs plans for next season.

I'm not one for having a go at the Trust for no reason but I'd be interested to know how you arrived at these figures without knowing the exact financial situation of the club and as such the financial implications of these proposed reductions.

They seem like pretty moderate, reasonable reductions to me. You can hardly expect Milan to let supporters groups rifle though the books so they can come up with perfect figures.

They are reasonable reductions. Just over two pounds per match for the Kop, one pound per match for the Family Stand. That seems fine to me, hopefully the club will feel the same.

I know a few regular season tickets holders who are not renewing unless prices drop

As for those that go to odd game, paying over £20 a ticket like in the past, dont make me laugh.

Prices should be brought in line with the average taken from all other clubs in the league, must be honest there,i dont know how much that would equate to?

lower prices = bigger gates in my eyes (as long as we are winning)

away support will never be in question

Trust-

With the club freezing prices til end of May,if they DO decide to lower them, will the ST holders who have already renewed get the diffference back?

With Mr Aldridge admitting he wanted to INCREASE the prices, what is the REALISTIC chance of them actually LOWERING them?

There is no chance Raj.

To be honest. Prices for all home games this season should just be extremely cheap, £10 or so. Just for this season, sort of like an initiative to get everyone to pack out the Walkers. We've not exactly got the most amazing of teams to visit us have we FFS and if we were to get promoted first time then the winnings would pay off the extra, and normal prices could resume back in the championship.

You might be surprised about the cost in the league. Here are the visiting fans admission prices to some of the clubs in our new league this season. Don't forget some are standing and uncovered!

Brighton £23

bristol rovers £15/18 pre booked prices add 2 quid on the day

carlisle £14-20

Chletenham £13

Crewe £19

Doncaster £18

hartlepool £20

Huddersield £20 less 2.50 if you buy in advance

leeds £25

Orient £20

millwall £20

Northampton £22

Oldham £22

Southend £20

Swindon £15-20

Tranmere £17

Walsall £19

Yeovil £19

Not all as cheap as we might have imagined and we will probably be a "premium" game for sme clubs!

Those ticket prices are outrageous - at least for League One level. An average of about £20 per game - my gosh!

So we actually did have affordable prices whilst being in the Championship, then...

Does the trust expect a positive response to their proposal or is this just blatant popularism?

I have to agree, Aldridge\Mandaric have made it clear that there will be a price freeze untill end of May, to lower prices would be very unlikely!!

If the Trust can push it through though, hat's off to them!!!

Oh really?

How come we only took around 300 to Hull this season then? And that was for a Saturday game..

By the way, visiting attendance at our ground this season averaged around 1700. We won't get anything like that in League 1.

I don't believe they have left it until now to make an announcement.

This kind of stance would have been useful three months ago. A month and a half ago, when a delay was put on the announcement it would have been handy.

Now - it's fucking useless.

Oh dear. Average of £20 hard earned pounds to watch all those shit teams.

What were people expecting them to be?

Championship ranged from £27-20 Quid... Never expected it to be that low next season..

This season my dad and I had one of those 'Just the ticket' season tickets in the corner of the main stand and the cop. Crowd was pretty good, no singing but a mix of real fans and fairweather families. The ticket cost 275 quid though (adult price!). That works out about 13 pounds per game. For me travelling up from London it made the cost justifiable.

I hope they keep this initiative going, although I see no mention of it in the Trust's article.

I like the pricing proposals though, whatever we charge has to be in line with the league we're in.

The club have kept it.

I'd get one of these if I was buying a ST and just walk round to F1 from there... :P

Exactly. I think the last few away games of big crowds and good atmospheres have gone to peoples' heads. I came away from a lot of games this season thinking what the fook had happpend to our away support. I wonder if half the people on here giving rousing rants about our magnificent fans and once a fox, always a fox will actually be at Tranmere in the freezing cold in the middle of January.
