The Reverend Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 right ...any chance of us getting rid of that crap shirt we have worn all season...its the shirt that has taken us down to the 3rd div for the first time in our illustrious history..its hideous poorly made from crap material.......please milan pay them off for the last year and go to adidas or something. Dont fcking buy it then! We've got it, get over it! Having Topps Tiles as our sponsor was probably one the main reason we were relegated. Sunday League teams have nicer kits than one we've currently got. I'm sorry, but having such a gypo sponsor would have made us a laughing stock in the premier league. Topps Tiles has to go. I feel very strongly about this. I think we need an online petition or something to get rid of this sponsor and kit. I love you MF. Legend.

lavrentis Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I think the shirt is not bad. One thing though is the logo, I prefered the old round logo, not the shield as it is better quality and looks better. I have got laughed at wearing my city shirt as it has Topps Tiles but hey. I don't quite understand the design of the shirt, It's almost like it is "stock" Jako just with Topps Tiles and our logo as I can't see the design as something Leicester would really design.

Topps have paid big bucks to sponsor the club..and we should respect them for it, who gives a toss whats on the shirt, its about the football, and as i understand it..that has been WAYYYY uglier than the shirts.

Jako, and any other kit manufacturer we use, give the club money for the privilege. The popular brand names would expect the club to pay for the benefit, because we are not big enough in their view. Derby's Adidas kit is straight out of a catalogue, ffs.

So ridiculous that a lot of people haven't bought the new kit. For a non-league team it would be OK, but recently we've had Walker Crisps, LG Electronics, Alliance Leicester as sponsors. I assume the reason we have Topps Tiles is because of some kind of link between MM or a member of the board...surely last season we could have found someone better than a tile company if that isn't the case?

Hopefully we can drop 'Walkers' from Walkers Stadium eventually too, we had a deal until 2012, then the club decided to extent it until 2017. Oh well, there are more pressing priorities at this club I suppose...
