sdb Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 Witness 1 - Didier Drogba.Witness 2 - Nicolas Anelka. Witness 3 - Ricardo Carvalho. Are they enough for you? Drogba hated Chelsea from the moment he got there, until about 2 weeks ago when he said (in that french paper he always talks to) that he was starting to like it there, and was considering staying...so that's wrong Anelka doesn't like not playing, not suprising Carvalho? Not heard anythng from him...? And what about the likes of Ballack, J Cole and Cech who were all very positive about him? I find it funny when people say he 'lost' the dressing room. Do they work at Chelsea?!?
Joinesy77 Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 At the start I didn't think much of Avram Grant like everyone else but I warmed to him and really respect him for the job he did and don't think he deserved to get sacked at all. He was under so much pressure all year and fighting against the fans all the time, I don't understand how he managed to do the job he did! They were runners up in 2 cups and only 2 points off the league. Thats a lot better than Jose did last season and if the club hadn't got off to a bad start (which happened under Mourinho) they would have won the league. Grant deserves more respect than he gets and shame on the Chelski board. Good luck finding a new manager cos I can't imagine many people wanting to work there knowing that they have to win the League and Champions League to keep their job.

Don't you think they might think about that when they sign the contract? I'm sure it'll contain provision for a severance payment... Mourinho's hardly struggling to feed his family after eight months out of work, is he?
Ultra Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 What makes you think he'd be keen to come to a 3rd division club?
Corky Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 What makes you think he'd be keen to come to a 3rd division club? The glamour and the prestige that comes with managing Leicester City.
Number 6 Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 The glamour and the prestige that comes with managing Leicester City. don't you mean shame and disappointment?
Matt Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 What makes you think he'd be keen to come to a 3rd division club? Premiership Ground, Premiership Facilities, Top class fans....Conference standard players, Chairman/Fan pressure....Barr the league status who wouldn't want to come here
Number 6 Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 I can see Mark Hughes taking the vacant job. Bookies have him at 7/2 at the moment, but last season I got the impression that Blackburn had gone as far as they could go. Without serious funding I don't think HUghes can do much more with them. Plus Bentley appears to fancy a move elsewhere, maybe he will follow Hughes to Chelsea?
Father Ted Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...sea/7419889.stm Mancini, Hughes and Scolari apparently on the Chelsea shortlist. It doesn't look as if we'll be getting Mancini
sdb Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 Ten Cate's gone now there was always somethin a bit sus about him
lildave3 Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 Ten Cate's gone now Have to say that has surprised me a little, but I think it's looking increasingly likely to be Mancini.
Simi Posted 30 May 2008 Posted 30 May 2008 Have to say that has surprised me a little, but I think it's looking increasingly likely to be Mancini. He's supposed to be one of the main parts of the turmoil anyway.
