Tilley Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 DJ Campbell will come good next season, If played consistantly.

Candidcamera Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Not on the same wavelength as you guys. Give a chance to Gradel, Ashley Chambers and Porter. DJ's a failure sell him.
Tilley Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Not on the same wavelength as you guys. Give a chance to Gradel, Ashley Chambers and Porter. DJ's a failure sell him. Gradel yes. Porter yes. Chambers, maybe not yet.
Unabomber Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 If him Hume and Fryatt all stay and we will most probably sign another striker, I just can't imagine him starting enough games to score that many. However if he stays injury free and gets a decent run in the side I think he might cause a threat.
Joe. Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I'd like to keep DJ in the hope that he could produce the goods in League One. However I've been very disappointed with two things mainly, firstly his inability to finish a chance and secondly his inability to stay onside. Whether he can improve over the summer is anybody's guess.
Samilktray Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Not on the same wavelength as you guys. Give a chance to Gradel, Ashley Chambers and Porter. DJ's a failure sell him. A failures a bit harsh, hasnt played an awful lot due to injuries. If were giving Fryatt as many chances as we did, Dj at least warrants that.

I reckon with a good run in the team and getting a goal or two early on, he could be a half decent assest to us next season.

Yeah, I'd agree with that, I think he could potentially be very dangerous in League One. I do think he needs a kick up the arse to be honest from the new manager to get him going, and a good pre-season (with that I mean playing matches).
dandannieldanok Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I personally think we'll be lucky to get 10 goals out of him next season, and I'd probably say the same for all the strikers on our books except for Hume.
DanTheFox07 Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Not on the same wavelength as you guys. Give a chance to Gradel, Ashley Chambers and Porter. DJ's a failure sell him. Dj campbell is a liability! injury prone and when I heard bout him getting told to go with the players on the coach down to a certain game can`t remember which now he refused, Ive got no time for the bloke do we really want players like that here next season! not exactly good anyway i remember him coming on as a sub and outpacing to palace defenders only to spoon it into the sidenetting! GET RID!!!!
bigneville Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I honestly think DJ can be an asset to the squad in league one. He has the attributes to be successful at this level, but he must get what strikers are are crazy for which is a constant spell in the team. Some confidence from the manager that he believes he will score goals for the team. This goes for all the strikers at the club. DJ has been used as an impact player for most parts of last season, and never quite had the effect most would have expected him to. Now returning to the level where he made his original name, may see us get the best out of DJ Campbell. One major obstacles for DJ is his problems with the offside rule, if he can get over these along with a run in the side, then he has the potential to break the double figures barrier and more for the side next season.
