AoWW Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 Drink Diet coke!!!!Trust me, when I quit I substituted the fags for diet coke and though it was a distant 2nd it was the next best thing. Coffee is the way forward. Similar reasons to Coke, I imagine. The easiest thing - Just don't start! Smug git! I didn't ask you to reply to my message. Don't you know the forum rules ? I wasn't aware that the forum rules state people can only reply to your posts if you grant them your express permission.

So i kinda went with it.
SamL Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 What I don't understand is why people start There are many reasons but the main ones are to try it as an experiment or to join in with your friends. (peer pressure).
fox123 Posted 1 June 2008 Author Posted 1 June 2008 What I don't understand is why people start Majority of people around me smoked, it wasn't peer pressure, more curiosity of course I regret ever starting now! It's extremely hard at the mo, as I'm having a beer!
Shrenchel Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 ive heard those new inhallators(spelling) are meant to be good especially for keeping your hands busy!!! GOOD LUCK, YOU CAN DO IT!! I used them when I was trying to quit, they're fooking gash. The last thing you need when you're irritable from not smoking is everyone staring at you because you look like you're sucking on a tampon.

That's the worst time. I'm ok not smoking 90% of the time. But I still can't give up completely - although I can go for weeks without a cigarette if nothing triggers off a craving. I'm generally ok if I'm not drinking, but being in a pub can be enough to set it off. I also find I'm much more likely to NEED a cigarette if I'm angry/upset/emotional. Combine being in a pub, drunk and angry about something and I stand no chance!

I'm on my 2nd beer, and still not had one...it, is really hard and I guess being in a pub will be a true test, although it'll be easier with the drinking ban....one day at a time eh!

lookwhaticando Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 Smoke more, seriously though why have you quit ? your advice is pretty pointless. Pot. Kettle. Black.
fox123 Posted 1 June 2008 Author Posted 1 June 2008  Drinking's been banned as well??!!! I'm fooked! See im loosing me fooking marbles already...when's the smoking ban come in
MikeyT Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 I quit January 2007 after 10 years of smoking. I literally just stopped and havent had on since. Screw all that NHS rubbish and Paul Mckenna quit smoking tapes , its literally about will power and being strong enough in yourself. If you really want to quit, you will! Good luck mate!
AoWW Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 See im loosing me fooking marbles already...when's the smoking ban come in Ahh, bless - have these instead. You could try playing marbles to take your mind off it, I guess.
AoWW Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 Take up playing RPGs ...or drumming. *ventures back in from the balcony* *cough* *splutter* huh? wtf is that about? Actually, no, i really don't want to know.
Fox You Forest Posted 2 June 2008 Posted 2 June 2008 I thought you meant the Pc game Warcraft. Maybe if you buy him that he might forget about these convention things.(unless you want to go again to see the Elves and Orcs).
dhermon Posted 2 June 2008 Posted 2 June 2008 Patches !!! just dont do any sport/sweating with the buggers on they drop off very easy Having said that im off for a smoke
Daggers Posted 2 June 2008 Posted 2 June 2008 *ventures back in from the balcony* *cough* *splutter* huh? wtf is that about? Actually, no, i really don't want to know. I now fully appreciate that the world of gaming is populated with interesting individuals and that to be into RPG game playing is the highest state of being an individual can attain. It's a bit like God to Tom Cruise. Only I'm not gay.
fox123 Posted 2 June 2008 Author Posted 2 June 2008 Still off the ciggies...not had any aid, apart from I have been armed with a packet of wrigleys ice.... Today was hard, but i'm determined that i'm not going to use any help, and as each day passes it's going to get easier....Here's to happy healthy lungs

fox123 Posted 2 June 2008 Author Posted 2 June 2008 Thanks for all the support, determination is only way
