It went up to 'Auto-Tune: 35% completed and it stopped at that point for around two hours.....making me go rather impatient.

Getting abused by people I've no idea who they are - walking round to the corner-shop earlier to pick up some yoghurt & spinach for making a curry for dinner and someone driving past rolls down their window and shouts: "ginger cvnt" at me.

In what sort of society can that be considered acceptable behaviour?

House and car alarms. COMPLETELY pointless, stupid and irritating inventions - almost certainly never actually stopped any property getting nicked, they exist solely to drive you to the verge of mass-homicide when you're trying to get to sleep at night or enjoy a lie-in.

Should be bloody banned outright

Thieves are generally cowards who like to steal things knowing that no one is aware of what they are doing. In this case alarms are effective even if they are annoying.

In no society. Completely unacceptable.

It's more that I'd guess that 99% of the time there is no thief, anyway surely they'd go for the houses that don't have those very obvious alarm boxes stuck to the outside?

Phone calls like the one I've just had that say, "You probably don't remember, but I called a few months ago about your replacement windows and you said you'd be interested."

Bollocks did I? A) I've got a great memory and I'd remember making that kind of commitment and B) My house is rented.

I'm sure that there must be people who have worse memories or are less confident than me who get taken in and think, "well, if you say so." Anyone know if such people can be taken to trading standards? I just thinking they probably will say it was a misunderstanding when they get caught, but I get the line far too often for it to be that.

I had one of those but it was an injury layers company. Apparently one of my parents phoned them up and said that they were "recently in a car crash and wanted to take legal action"....

The car still looks in top-notch condition

Well then the alarms done a job.

Well then the owners shouldn't feel the need to actually turn the little feckers on then! Sorry but the feeling of resentment at my wrecked lie-in this morning has failed to subside throughout the day, despite the very positive amount of work I managed to do this morning when normally I'd have still been asleep...
