I know drinking water helps and hair of the dog and all that, but does anyone no a genuine cure?

If there be a genuine cure for a hangover, it'd be common knowledge by now, especially among the entire population of the UK under 30 years of age. ;) But alas, none exist and there is a genuine reason why it doesn't.

Anyway, you're dehydrated/exhausted/you have a headache/you have an upset stomach/you may have a fever/you are irritable. Do what you'd normally do to combat all of these problems but don't take any drugs (legal or illegal) because your liver, brain and digestive system are all beat up from dealing with the toxins already in your body since last night and they need a rest. Also, don't drink any more alcohol because of the reasons above and because hair of the dog leads to alcoholism and if you don't like being hung over, I'd recommend that you do not become alcoholic.

Drink lots of fluids but don't go crazy with sugars (maybe mix half a glass of water w/ half a glass of fruit juice or Lucozade instead of all sugary drinks). It's easy to go eat lots greasy foods, but don't eat this stuff to satisfy because 1) it's unhealthy and 2) your stomach might not be settled and you don't want to vomit. Some people swear that a big, greasy breakfast helps, but in reality, the eggs are the biggest helper; eat those and skip the bacon. Take a multivitamin, too.

If you really feel like crap and can't be bothered to read,

1) Lots of fluids, not too much sugar

2) Eggs

3) Multivitamin

4) No alcohol/drugs/medicine

5) Lots of rest

Oh god worst hangover I've had by a long shot today, even Codine wasn't working properly. I literally couldn't eat or drink anything, even water, until about 4 this afternoon, without chucking it up everywhere. Stomach's still proper dodgy. Christ.

For some reason Flame Grilled Steak McCoys and a cup of tea always calms my stomach.
