AoWW Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 Any suggestions for some quality driving tunes? Depends what kinda driving you mean (as in pace/attitude) tbh. I have different choices of music for different situations (yeah, i'm that sad!) . Coast road in the sun; late night trying-not-to-fall-asleep; fast-paced motorway; on-track; etc, etc.
Finnegan Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 Most of the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's best songs make great driving music. Whatever Happened To My Rock'n'Roll (Punk Song) Six Barrelled Shotgun Weapon of Choice Stop Heart + Soul Rise or Fall Alternatively, Show Me How To Live by Audioslave is arguably the greatest driving song of the modern era - even the video's perfect. YouTube should have most of these beauties.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 I remeber seeing a video for a Napalm Death song a couple of years ago. Absolutely unlistenable.

Coast road in the sun; late night trying-not-to-fall-asleep; fast-paced motorway; on-track; etc, etc. Just throw some out there. I have a fair few CD's with fast paced stuff, and I don't have a problem with falling asleep "Roadrunner" by the Modern Lovers Sounds like stuff my dad would listen too Most of the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's best songs make great driving music.Whatever Happened To My Rock'n'Roll (Punk Song) Six Barrelled Shotgun Weapon of Choice Stop Heart + Soul Rise or Fall Alternatively, Show Me How To Live by Audioslave is arguably the greatest driving song of the modern era - even the video's perfect. YouTube should have most of these beauties. Show me how to live, was alright, haven't downloaded it though. Reminded me of Puretone - Addicted to Bass though. Tuuuuuune. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, not bad. Again not really my type. I'm sure If I listened to them long enough they'd be quite good. RHCP - Californication Under the Bridge is better. Good shout though Limp Bizkit - Faith. Ahhh thanks for Bringing them up. Faith doesn't really do it for me, but some of their others do
Dano Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 Oasis is good! Also at the moment I like DJ Shadow - Six Days!
Tommeh Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 Many different beats for times of the day/ moods etc. At night it has to be Hip/Hop. Still D.R.E takes a lot of beating. 50 Cent. Many Men and what up Gangsta Then chillout, reflection driving - One Republic - Stop and Stare Best though Matt Monroe - on days like these, the Italian Job opening scene with the Lamborghini in the Alps and you think - yes I'm in a polo in Loughborugh
Samilktray Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 Well if your from the Thurmaston/Syston/Rushey Mead area, Bassline is the in thing with auto mobiles.

Just out of intrest, what car you driving now mate? Polo for now well until August for sure then my no claims will come through start of September so I'm looking at a new C2 on finance, £500 deposit then around £100 a month possibly rising to £140ish once I get a few options on it Matallic paint, Alloys etc. Desperate to get a 1.4 but I'll see how the insurance looks next to the 1.1. Was suppost to have a test drive wednesday but don't want to get interested then have to wait ages / piss the dealer about. So I'll resume the search start of August after the holiday. Aiming to do Huddersfield away in it as Orient is before and will certainly be a train job How new's your fiesta, drove a mate's 04 the other week and it was a beaut to drive.
