I've seen them all there, was sat on my mate's balcony watching Stearman & Sheehan help Weso move in, my mate used to regularly see Kenton & Stearman going off to training together, he even had to show a chinese takeaway delivery guy to Kenton's apartment. Jimmy Neilsen owned one of the penthouse apartments, it's not easy to mix him up with someone else when you see him wandering round, especially when he's in a club tracksuit.
meadwell5 Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 Gerry Taggert used to live in Mountsorrel but now lives in Loughborough as i always see him filling his car up at tesco's, it was a Audi A4 estate (sporty one) but now is a Merc. Ian Holloway still lives at the Nampanton cross roads opposite the Priory Pub in Loughbrough, Bumped into him this Sat in Saino's. Sorry these are not players but still interesting
Tabou Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I think where the players will live will change over time.We need to remember where we are now. As a League One club we will not be paying prem wages any more. I would imagin anyone joining the club this season would probaly be on a couple of grand a week (probably less for the players on their forst pro contracts) which is still a lit more than the paying punters earn but it isn't off the scale in the way 20-30k a week that the like of Elliott, Izzet, Savage, Taggart and Heskey would have been earning in the glory days. Don't get me wrong, it's a good living, but it won't be fuding the 1/2 Million houses with huge gardens and an array of luxury cars in the drive that we have come to expect. Players will be a lot more 'amongst us' than they were previously. Simon £100,000 a year will fund big, £500k houses and Range Rovers etc..... Especially when these guys are in their 20's and want all the flashy toys. Saving for the future is probably not a priority. Spending £6k a month probably is.

You mean the ones that cost about 160k for a ground floor, one bedroom apartment. With the penthouses going for about 300k when first built.... i'd consider that quite a luxury.

They're pretty nice apartments, a mate owns one in the same block as Levi & Kenton, I've been in the lift with Levi before, chatted to him a few times. did you go up, or, um, did you go down...

Once shouted "It wasn't you fault!" at him through a pub window when drunk. Stearman grew up in and lives in Lubenham, but I guess he'll move to some hole in the Black Country now...
