Robbie Savage?

Just heard on Radio Leicester that we are investigating the possibility of trying to sign Robbie Savage?

After the Dickov debate i was wondering what the reaction of this would be?

FFS please no, I could cope with Dickov but not this. Piss off Mandaric and stop meddling, it is obvious he is doing the investigating and Pearson probably has no idea, Savage certainly doesn't strike me as a Pearson signing at all.

Both of them can stay away.

Neither of them care.

Mandaric dipping his hands in again methinks. :nono:

I don't know why everyone has got a problem with this, he'd be awesome in league one. He's just the type of nasty player that we're going to come across each week but the difference is he actually has some skill too.

Pearson will be able to handle him, if he doesn't put the effort in Nigel's a big enough boy to tell him off.

Yes, but Pearson will be under ridiculous pressure to play him because he will be half of the wage bill! He'll have nothing to play for and no competition!

Savage has told us to met his wage and he will rejoin ...

Being nasty gets you nowhere in modern football. Tiatto was nasty and largely a waste of space. Too often it was touch and go whether he even stayed on the field.

I don't want Savage back. Will serve no real purpose and will most likely keep the young and energetic Weso out of the team.

I think Savage is a better player, even now, than people give him credit for. However, I don't want him back here. He has the ability to play well at this level should he have the motivation. But I don't see that he would. He has had his time here, and he did his job well. It should be left that way.

Hear Hear!

Unless he wants to take a 80% wage cut to bring him into line with the rest of the squad, no deal.

I can only imagine it would be to replace someone on the way out (Clemence). If it's Pearsons decision then i'm ok with it... if he is under any pressure from mad mandy, then I don't want him. Especially if it's anything more than a years contract.

All this will do is undo the good work Pearson has done since he arrived, MILAN.

He is an overpaid, under-performing show pony. I will grudgingly accept Dickov should we get him purely down to lack of options up front, but not Savage.

Might give the side that experience which it needs. It's not as if Savage and Dickov are lazy buggers after all. These two are totally committed old gits who could run riot in this godforsaken league.

If only Mandaric could resist sticking his big fooking nose in!

He always wants his so-called big names like JFH, Robbie Fowler and Lee Hendrie. And he always wants some limelight once the party starts though he soon goes quiet when the flak flies. I just wish he'd let the manager get on with his job.

He always seems scared to death we won't have enough experience - as if "experience" has not got us in enough trouble - and I often wonder if he has any faith in the young players at all underneath. If he had he'd surely never let Gradel go to Bournemouth last season for a start.

Don't get the wrong idea. I like big names too. But when they're starting out and have barely been heard of, not when when they're a largely spent force.

He's 33 now, serioius knee injury made it hard to get back in Blackburn's side in his last full season there and he has scored once in his last 92 League matches, way down on his average over his previous 10 years up to 2002.

In case Mandaric needs it spelling out we want people to provide us with goals and creativity in midfield.
