Shipman Out Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 If you play a non scoring, non creative midfielder in a team that has no wingers and which struggles to score anyway you're asking for trouble however combative that player may be. You talk bollocks! Argentina, Italia, Benitez, Lippi, Capello Wenger, and most of the football world disagree with you! and we do have wingers. Your Sheehan love in is frankly embaressing! lets speak to Leeds fans about him the boy can take a corner when he isnt daydreaming. Comparing Savage to Tiatto and JARRET is another complete joke "bring on LEVI bring on LEVI!" you need to be comparing Savage with the people whos place he will be taking ie KISHICHEV! WESO! and A KING! (clem or Oakley for other spot) and in my opinion Savage gets in ahead of those 3 with Weso learning and rotating when form dictates/injuries. Savage would be a superb addition. Just cos you like sharing your opinions dont make you right! cos your knowledge is clouded by your love of the youth that just cant cut it and it's PROVEN by where they go/leave us to......L Dodds good job Sheehan is Irish and not Welsh cos G Bale would be shitting it! Up the blue boys
l444ry Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Give it 2 games and everyone will be saying we have no leader, we have no captain on the field...the constant calling for Graham Kavanagh anyone!?And how many times from EVERY manager we have had since Levien have we heard how quiet the dressing room is! Savage solves both problems and for those who said he could only run really does make me think you never seen him play when Lennon left he became our top man in midfield took it on himself. Of course he is no longer this player but R Savage is another level up to KISHICHEV!!! surely! Savage and Dickov would be SUPERB signings IMO a class addition to our young group, they would compliment the group and spirit not destroy it! Im shocked at the negative attitude towards this signing im over the moon! F'kin get in! Makes a change to read something constructive about the Savage situation instead of the tired old waffle that he's too old or he's a gold digger. Firstly, he's a relatively fit 33 year old. Secondly, it's doubtful whether Mandaric would want to give away the obscene wage figures being quoted on here anyway. As long as Pearson is happy, the wages and contract length are right then get him in.... then make him captain.
Phlashman Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 The Sun: Milan still in for SavagePublished: Today LEICESTER owner Milan Mandaric is still after Robbie Savage despite Derby’s denials he could rejoin his old club. Mandaric wants the midfielder on loan and the Foxes are prepared to pay part of Sav’s £26,000-a-week wages. The Welshman has hardly featured in the Rams’ pre-season. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle1525275.ece
Moreton Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 The Sun:http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle1525275.ece On loan is fine then, aslong as we are only paying like half of that £26,000
MikeyT Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 On loan is fine then, aslong as we are only paying like half of that £26,000 £26,000 meh! Pocket change to a club like us!
Thracian Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 The Sun:http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle1525275.ece Will Mandaric never learn? I knew this would happen and said so weeks back. That he would start filling the squad with loanees. Of course there's a plce for the odd one or two in certain circumstances but beyond that it's the kiss of death for team morale and has already been the reason for several of our players becoming disenchanted. We don't want or need Savage anyway, much less as a loanee.

billyfox1 Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 On loan is fine then, aslong as we are only paying like half of that £26,000 i dont agree with paying £13,000 for a player that isn't even ours. It's a bit of a gamble because he might be shite
GLC Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 anyone up for enticing david seaman and teddy Sheringham back to football, the older the better lol

Up the blue boys We didn't have wingers when Tiatto was here which, if you'd read the dialogue, was what we were talking about. As for Savage I wouldn't want him here for free never mind on loan for a packet.

Daggers Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Wax on, wax off - that's the limit of my knowledge on the matter.
Thracian Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 i dont get it lol Don't trouble yourself. Mr Miyagi's probably said it all.

And your copious amounts of hot air would rattle even the most placcid observer. We should put a balloon above your head and a basket beneath you, get you talking and start charging for rides. With any luck you'd never stop talking and never come down.

Thracian Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Go get some then. It would need to be some balloon to get me clear enough. Are you providing?
