Don't believe you, if your dad was a policeman you wouldn't be such a wet lettuce.

One minute you're mocking the Americans and then the next you want them to win. You've never made this little sense before Raj, I'm so confused.

Do you reckon that Gay got so fast by running away from all the bullies at school? I mean... Gay? Hohoho.

As an aside, I'm happy whatever happens at these Olympics as long as Denmark get no medals.

You know i always talk shit!

But i'd love a Gay to win an olympic gold.

Imagine The Suns back page-

"Gay Lord Does them all in"....or something like that.... :)

From the 15,000m final:

Britain's Kate Reed, competing in her first Olympics, finished 23rd in 32:26.69 but said she was asked by UK Athletics chief Dave Collins to run a 2km time-trial the night before the race in order to prove her fitness.

The 25-year-old had been suffering from an achilles problem but she said the decision badly affected her performance.

"Dave Collins wanted to make sure I wasn't going to let the team down, I guess he didn't want any bad performances," Reed said.

"But to put somebody through that the day before their first ever major international is absolutely appalling."

The very last statement is intriguing, I wonder what the ramifications will be. Whatever happens, it isn't very promising to hear this about our athletics chief, he sounds like a right knob.

Thankfully the GB cyclists, who shone today and will shine tomorrow, are led by a decent bloke who knows what he is doing and respects all of the team. The way Dave Brailsford has turned it round for us in the velodrome over the last decade is nothing short of phenomenal.

Manwell you have seen Ralph Wiggum on The Simpsons, his Daddy is a policeman and he is a big wet lettuce.

Ralph Wiggum reminds me alot of Tevez.

Has anyone, ever, won Gold in completely different events??

And I don't mean running and long jump, that's all athletics... I mean in swimming and horse riding... or shooting and sailing!

Now that WOULD be a proper Olympian!

Or Olympics and paraolympics

Theres been a few who have attempted it. There was an Aussie who won gold in Hockey then took on Spinting.

There was also a sprinter from jamaca who tried bobsleigh and they made a movie about it.

Did anyone see the 67yr Japanesse equestrain bloke who compted at Tokyo 64' then this is his second olympics 44 yrs later, massive effort

It never fails to amaze me how we somehow manage to shoot ourselves in the foot.

A boxer who was almost nailed on for a medal didn't even make the weight.

A 400 metre hurdler who had run faster than most in the olympics wasnt even chosen to go, yet we send some athletes who have no chance to even make the finals.

We rest 2 of our best swimmers in a heat which we ended up not even qualifying for the final, thats right rest our swimmers, maybe they should look at a video of phelps who collected his upteenth gold and within 12 minutes of collecting his gold was swimming again.

And now UK Athletics chief Dave Collins made our long distance runner run a 2km time-trial the night before the race, and she got injured.

Sack em all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just watched a very exciting single skulls final in the rowing, apart from the lead changing hands several times (great stuff), and a dissappointing race from the brit (shame), it was great to see olaf tufte win as he is from my 'home town' here, which is pretty impressive as its only about 20,000 people...

bless,

The whole point is we would probably do a lot better if we didn't stopped making unnecessary mistakes. And its nothing to do with the athletes its the coaches I'm talking about.

And I have congratulated the winners.

Its called having a rounded view, not deluded like some people.

What is my view on the subject?
