The following clubs will receive byes into Round Two of this season's Johnstone's Paints Trophy following the draw for the byes held at The League's office in Preston today.http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/Late...1361526,00.html

Northern Section: Bury, Carlisle United, Chester City, Darlington, Huddersfield Town, Lincoln City, Rochdale and Rotherham United

Southern Section: Cheltenham Town, Gillingham, Hereford United, Luton Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Peterborough United, Walsall and Wycombe Wanderers

We may as well get as many byes as there are rounds. Either way, we'd be in the final. :cool:

I guess this way it keeps the biggest team in the competition from the start - makes it more interesting to follow.

The byes are there because there is'nt the correct number of teams to have a continuous draw.

If you work it backwards from the final you'll need that number of teams at eache point in the competition.

2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 etc

Oh for gods sake.

The freeking draw ent till the 16th.

And to top it off, Bradford, Chesterfield, Grimsby, Hartlepool, Leeds, Notts County and Scun-inappropiatename-phorpe.

Shambles, where the bleeding hell is Barnet, Gillingham, Northampton, MK Mcdonalds in that list. Im writing in.
