Sorry, that bloody flag again

It strikes me that there are some on this forum that are a touch naive. Maybe it's an age thing...difficult to tell who is 12 and who is 13. Fans buy their tickets on the strenghth of seat availablity. You cannot blame them for moving the flag. Would those in L block move to somewhere else in the stadium if, without your permission, something was blocking your seat. If there was something drapped over my seat I would move it as well.

As for Peter Jones, well does he not look at seats sold before authorising where fans can and cannot put a flag. I seem to remember that he also backed the "singing section" a while ago. He encouraged, no, allowed, people to to move seats in order to "sing" at opposing supporters along with the chavs in L block and then encouraged the stewards to remove one of the main organisers who then had to serve a 3 match exclusion from the stadium for "persistant standing." Not something the stewards dare do to those in the L block. I suggest those who are organising this do it at away games or put the flag in the west stand up by the Fusion Restuarant. there never seems to be any fans up there.

Strikes me as though PJ is a bit of a tit.

I am not blaming the people that sit in those seats am I? I was just stating what the problem was, that's all.

Maybe it is an age thing as no doubt you are older, I'm 17, not the 12/13 you seem to be applying. Infact, to me it definitley is an age thing, as those who still refer to the majority of L1 as chavs are a little unclear as to who sits in there.

Not a great pic but it looks like the only one.

My god.

To take it down, for the sake of the seats it was covering.

As for the stewards...Why did they not just suggest to the people sitting in those seats to move down a few rows instead of taking it down. Those jobworths are the people to blame.

I'm confused - why could it not go in the seats sectioned off?

Matt you seem to be missing the point.

It should be the club authrising a suitable position for the flag.....not the stewards moving the people, who to be fare, stood up for the majority of the game anyway, to alternative seating.

I made the statement regarding the chavs in L block based on the number of those who still think it's cool and trendy to be wearing "fake Burberry and Stone Island" clothing who I saw going in and coming out of that block. Just an observation!!!

What a load of absolute drivel you spout. A lot of this forum sit in L1 and i am certainly not a chav! If it were not for the efforts of L1, the atmosphere would be far worse! Be careful before making quite insulting comments that a lot of people will take offence to!

I think all this stereotypical bullshit is out of order as someone said the front of the kop don't sing which I did and L1 is full of chavs. Get a grip.

:crylaugh: That has to be one of the most stupidest statements I have seen in a long time. I can just imagine Peter Jones standing at the bottom of the steps pointing. "No, not him, no, yes! That's the one! 'Av 'im!!"

What fcuking flag???

(P.S If anyone EVER critises Peter Jones they will have to sit with me in a room on their own for an hour after i've had a few coffees....i'll tell you THAT fate is not worth it!!!!) :)

Now....honestly...what is this flag business????

I bought myself a new Tula handbag before the game - can I be a chav? Can I? Can I?

Oh Lisa....so nearly funny.....but not quite!

Damn. Must try harder.

Peter Jones pointing people out..... ha ha! If I remember rightly he was taken out on the concourse below the stand!

The point I am trying to make ...which you seem to be missing.... is that PJ seems to sanction these ideas and they all go horribly wrong. These are all ideas by the fans who try to go through the proper channels to gain the consent off the club...even to the point of making the flags fire resistant to satisfy the H&S requirements, and still the club is left looking a laughing stock by the fans

Are you not being just a bit melodramatic there? Maybe having a pop at the club because moaning is what some City fans do best?

As far as I can see the problems faced yesterday can all be easily resolved in time for the next home game.

PJ has a 101 odd things to do on a match day.

If he does end up fcuking a few things up(Which as Fez has said wasnt 100% his fault anyway!) im sure he'll sort it out for the next game.

You need to tlak to people who PJ has thanked.

Goto reception and have a look at a folder on the table which includes letters from people whom PJ has helped out

Its fine hammering people, but do it when you've met them and can gauge your OWN ideas of them.

I actually spoke to Peter about that incident, in person, and what you are posting just does not add up with what I was told.

BTW, I am not missing your point simply because it isn't a relevant point. Peter Jones does not sanction anything. He is a link between the club and supporters. The decisions are made higher up the pecking order. Did you not realise this?

An observation made, what? 2 years ago? If so it was bollocks then and still is now.

Your stereotyping the main vocal section of our support and annoying many people doing so.

As far as I am concerned these issues regarding the seats that had been sold prior to the game should have been spotted by PJ. It is a big flag...with permission sought and approved before the first game of the season. It just smacks of someone who is not in control of all the facts. Does he not talk to the ticket office...does the ticket office not talk to pj. Did the ticket office know about the flag at all. It is an asshole jamboree at LCFC sometimes.

BTW. I don't moan about the club....only some of the comments posted on here. I love my club, to be honest couldn't give a damn about waht goes on behind the scenes but it makes life a tad more interesting when I see what other people think. I'm only expressing my opinions which of course, to me, are right.

Your block is only the main vocal support of the East Stand. I don't know where you get the idea that you lot are the only ones that sing.

Anyway...back on topic. The corner of the west and north would be a great place for the flag as very few sit there. I saw only one Billy no mates in the upper section from where I was in the kop.
