syston_fox Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Your block is only the main vocal support of the East Stand. I don't know where you get the idea that you lot are the only ones that sing. That's utter bollocks - I don't sit in L1, nor do I sit in the kop but it is obvious to any dimwit that has been to the stadium in the last 2 seasons or so that L1 is where the majority of the atmosphere is generated from.
Guest Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 As far as I am concerned these issues regarding the seats that had been sold prior to the game should have been spotted by PJ. It is a big flag...with permission sought and approved before the first game of the season. It just smacks of someone who is not in control of all the facts. Does he not talk to the ticket office...does the ticket office not talk to pj. Did the ticket office know about the flag at all. It is an asshole jamboree at LCFC sometimes.BTW. I don't moan about the club....only some of the comments posted on here. I love my club, to be honest couldn't give a damn about waht goes on behind the scenes but it makes life a tad more interesting when I see what other people think. I'm only expressing my opinions which of course, to me, are right. Another female poster, eh?
foss1884 Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Anyway...back on topic. The corner of the west and north would be a great place for the flag as very few sit there. I saw only one Billy no mates in the upper section from where I was in the kop. Just put a sock in it! You are as irritating as a fungal nail infection crossed with syphilis. Unless it is constructive, based on facts or something or interest, just shut up.

I'm only expressing my opinions which of course, to me, are right. To label the majority of folks in L1 as chavs is simply laughable and does nothing more than highlight your own prejudices. As for the flag incident, I do think it's incredibly petty that those fans who removed the flag did so rather than simply move seats. It was not necessary for them to move sections, as you suggested in an earlier post where you - bizarrely - related your comment to those in L1 again, they only had to move a few rows... hardly a big deal. As Fez has already stated, they planned to have the flag in one place then, when in situ, realised it would be better positioned elsewhere. Given the pressures PJ is no doubt under on matchday I hardly think it criminal that he failed to realise it would be covering a few allocated seats. No doubt you'll say I'm missing the point (it seems to be your standard line of defence in this thread). If that is the case, perhaps you should make your point more clear rather than implying others are lacking intelligence. AoWW (age: much more than 12/13!)
Corky Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 I made the statement regarding the chavs in L block based on the number of those who still think it's cool and trendy to be wearing "fake Burberry and Stone Island" clothing who I saw going in and coming out of that block. Just an observation!!! Yes because everyone who wears that type of clothing or stands at football is a chav right? I for one am grateful for L1 and the people who spend their matchdays there, they created a great noise yesterday which allowed the Kop and some of the North Stand to join in, and made the match a very enjoyable one, combined with the result.
AoWW Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 I've just realised I own clothes from Stone Island. I'm a chav!!! Woohoo!
Alexikokopops Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Oh, and I won't hear a word against Peter Jones. He's on the money that one. Fantastic chap.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 August 2008 Author Posted 10 August 2008 To answer two main points; I didn't want it placed over the section in between the away fans and N Block as had originally been suggested and I posted about on here - because it looks very poor when you stretch it over seating in comparison with how it looks when you display the whole thing by hoisting it up from something. It then turned out that MK Dons were bringing a lot more fans than anticipated so we decided to put it in with our own fans in case they needed those seats for the MK fans. As it turns out, they didn't - but if they had and the flag had got taken down at that point, it would have looked even worse. Secondly, we have been in consultation with the head of the ticket office the whole time. He has been out for the whole time both times we've been up in the stand deciding where it should go and actually helping put it up. Obviously there was a bit of an oversight on Saturday but we had originally taken fans into account by putting it where no tickets had been sold - then it got moved at the last minute and things got confused. That's as much my fault for not realising as anyone else's. I understand some people have strong views about the club and the way it might or might not organise certain things but Peter Jones and the club have been behind this 100% from the start and have helped me out a hell of a lot. We will sort it for the next home league game. At this moment in time I'm not sure about Tuesday night although I hope to find out more tomorrow.
Maybes Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Safe bledrins. I iz from L1 innit. Blates got me Stoney I's on. Get me. L1 is the shizzle.
Bert Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Fox 63. I take it you're a chav too then? You've obviously been in L1 to observe the chavs there, so if it's full of them , it must make you one right? I will bet you now, there's less than 30 chavs in L1. That's out of a good 2-300 that stand and sing. You do know, that some people don't directly exit from where their stairway is.

I unreservedly withdraw all my criticism of Peter Jones & the Club on this issue.... now I know it's all Fez's fault Nah - with all the time and effort you've put into it something was bound to hiccup - Good Luck with finding a home for it
lildave3 Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Yeah it did. Was a pleasant surprise when I noticed it after 10 minutes.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Yeah it did. Was a pleasant surprise when I noticed it after 10 minutes. Were you sitting right at the back near the corner next to a bald headed man with a city shirt on?
lildave3 Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Were you sitting right at the back near the corner next to a bald headed man with a city shirt on? I was right at the back on the corner, but with no bald man.
Libertine Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Yeah it did. Was a pleasant surprise when I noticed it after 10 minutes. Took me a while too.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 I was right at the back on the corner, but with no bald man. The other side was a guy in a light blue jumper?
lildave3 Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 The other side was a guy in a light blue jumper? Erm, would have been Ched. Think he was in a grey jumper.
