Tabou Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1365035,00.html Betme to it. Atleast it isn't broken. Several weeks on the sidelines. Time to hit the loan market Mr Pearson, me thinks.
Fox in a Box Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Thank god for small mercies..... the player is a diamond.... 4/6 weeks I rekon.
Legend_in_blue Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Glad it ain't too serious. Mind you, I fear these type of challenges which cause such problems will be more commonplace this season. There was a crunching tackle involving Oakley and some great big lump on Saturday right down by me on the touchline. These L1 players that lack skill try to make up for it with stupid, reckless, physical, OTT challenges.
Ric Flair Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Good to hear. Let's hope there's no set backs with this, you often hear clubs say this and then the injury turns out to be just as bad as first feared.
Glenfield Fox Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Good news under the circumstances. I really feared the worst after listening to NP on the radio last night. Still sounds like a 6 weeker though. All the best to the lad. Look forward to seeing you back for the Foxes.
sdb Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 serious ligament damage - i'd have thought that'd still be a long term absence (months rather than weeks?)
martyn Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Probably 6 weeks to get back training properly, couple of months out in total.
wellsy Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 It was a horrible tackle, and the player who did it didn't even get a booking! But minutes later Dickov makes slight contact with another player and get a yellow card, shocking ref yesterday. Anyway, get well soon Joey! Who's going to play left back now
morris1234 Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 get well soon joe! either NP hits the loan market or puts hobbs at left back, ok hes not left footed etc but i think hed be quite solid. anyway get well soon joe! it sound slike he was in a lot of pain, i broke my arm in 2 places in a game once, i didnt need oxygen but it ****ing tickled a bit lol
syston_fox Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 It was a horrible tackle, and the player who did it didn't even get a booking! But minutes later Dickov makes slight contact with another player and get a yellow card, shocking ref yesterday. Anyway, get well soon Joey! Who's going to play left back now It wasn't that bad a tackle - just the way he fell that did the damage. Dickov's was fully deserving of a yellow - no where near the ball and just stormed into the player.
Cheese Me Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 I guess this should put the transfer speculation to bed - until January at least when we'll have a much better idea if we're on our way back up. I'm guessing the Swiss player will be on his way in now then By the way - get well soon Joe. Didn't mean to be unsympathetic
FilboFox Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Could be a blessing in disguise... it might scare some of the buying teams off now and we'll be able to keep him. Ligament damage... sounds bad but if it's only a few weeks, thank God for that! A break would have been a few months so this is another relief! And of course, get well Joe! We need you!
Ultra Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 It could still be serious. As we know from last season, ankle injuries can last a long time..
gosfox Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 It could still be serious. As we know from last season, ankle injuries can last a long time.. one thing in his favour is that he is a young lad....they tend to mend a bit quicker at his age Get well soon Joe
Thracian Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 It could still be serious. As we know from last season, ankle injuries can last a long time.. Which reminds me. What's Elvis doing these days?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Which reminds me. What's Elvis doing these days? You suggesting Hammond (Ankle) could play left back?
Fox You Forest Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Which reminds me. What's Elvis doing these days? Butlins most probably.
Raj Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Mattock is fcuking quality. Hope he recovers well and isnt pushed too quickly. Last thing we need is for this to turn into a recurring injury(Like my itchy anus!) We need him fully fit in May for the Run in
billyfox1 Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 update on OS- 4 weeks minimum http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1366261,00.html
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 It's now anything between 4 to 8 weeks. I'll take that.
bigneville Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 It's now anything between 4 to 8 weeks.I'll take that. Yeah could be a lot worse.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Meanwhile, tickets remain on general sale for Saturday's Championship clash against Stockport County at Edgeley Park. Living in the past much? I'll get my coat.
