Guest Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 I love the fact the on a Leicester City Forum we've got a Sheff Weds fan and a Leeds fan arguing the toss about who's club is better Keep it up lads
whitlock Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 Ok, comparisonsince 1919 (90 years ago, when leeds Utd came into being) Leage Titles Leeds: 3 (1969, 1974, 1992) Wendies: 2 (1929, 1930) FA Cups Leeds: 1 (1972) Wendies: 1 (1935) League Cups Leeds: 1 (1968) Wendies: 1 (1991) UEFA Cup Leeds: 2 (1968, 1971) Wendies: 0 Charity Shields Leeds: 2 (1969, 1992) Wendies: 1 (1935) Total Trophies Leeds: 9 Wendies: 5 Not to mention our: League Runners up: 5 FA Cup finalists: 3 League Cup Finalsts: 1 European Cup Finalists: 1 Cup Winners Cup Finalists: 1 UEFA Cup finalists: 2 I'd say that makes us quite a bit more succesful than you. Fair play you may have won more trophys than wednesday BUT at the end of the day, your still in League 1 and the owls aren't. They'll be playing the Newcastles and the WBA's as will we but you won't. The better club will always be the club in the higher division, Chin up.
weluv Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 yes, did i ever say you weren't better than us at the moment? You are, as shown by our relative league positions.

You forgot to put the European cup win in there WACCOE
weluv Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 that's the only one we've got, he only played 6 games for us. Though with 5 goals, he must have one of the best strike rates in the divison. Got a blood clot on his lung christmastime, so had to go into hospital as it was, apparently, life-threatening. Back in trainining now, looking forward to more goals from the Big Show.

UEFA Cup Leeds: 2 (1968, 1971) Wendies: 0 Correct. Charity Shields Leeds: 2 (1969, 1992) Wendies: 1 (1935) Not a major trophy. Total Trophies Leeds SCUM: 7 Wednesday: 8 Not to mention our: League Runners up: 5 FA Cup finalists: 3 League Cup Finalsts: 1 European Cup Finalists: 1 Cup Winners Cup Finalists: 1 UEFA Cup finalists: 2 I'd say that makes us quite a bit more succesful than you. Runners up don't count. Charity Shields are not major trophies. 8-7 in favour of us in terms of the big prizes. We are both underachievers and like I said it's like 2 bald men fighting over a comb. However we are historically the most successful club in Yorkshire. No matter when it was. This is undeniable. Jog on LEEDS SCUM. Fair play you may have won more trophys than wednesday BUT at the end of the day, your still in League 1 and the owls aren't. They'll be playing the Newcastles and the WBA's as will we but you won't. The better club will always be the club in the higher division, Chin up. Absolutely. The better club is the club in the higher division and we can both laugh at them about this. As explained above we have also won more than them too. You forgot to put the European cup win in there WACCOE Talk about deluded! They still sing it too.
StanSP Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 Give us more Enoch chants! Yes please! So samilktray can shut the fuck up!
Fosse Boy Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 I love the fact the on a Leicester City Forum we've got a Sheff Weds fan and a Leeds fan arguing the toss about who's club is better Keep it up lads Should we take it as a compliment? Are there any forum guidelines on what to do 'In Case of Yorkshiremen arguing the toss'?

Guest Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 Should we take it as a compliment? Are there any forum guidelines on what to do 'In Case of Yorkshiremen arguing the toss'? I think we should, it is a good forum it has to be said and random banter is always welcome. There must be a sub-category labelled 'northerners, and what to do if encountered' somewhere in the rules
weluv Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 would you like me to highlight the bit where it says 'post 1919' for you, you southerner?

Loved the thread title and had to join in. Sadly I can't get on WACCOE anymore. would you like me to highlight the bit where it says 'post 1919' for you, you southerner? Why should our entire history not count? Because it doesn't suit you? And I am definitely no "Southerner".
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 would you like me to highlight the bit where it says 'post 1919' for you, you southerner? Oh just cool it with the insults would you!

Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Should we take it as a compliment? Are there any forum guidelines on what to do 'In Case of Yorkshiremen arguing the toss'? This is because we are 'massive'
weluv Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 sheffield's so southerly it's almost in Derbyshire. And no, i did it over the same time period. If we'd had 30 years more to win stuff, we'd probably have overtaken you. It's only fait to compare through the same time period. E.g. you winning titles, FA Cups in the 1890s, when our club didn't exist, and when you were fighting those giants of british football Preston North End.

But then again maybe not. Who has won more major trophies? Just remind me... Nevermind you might win the Johnstones Paint Trophy next season. Another to add to the 'Champions of Europe's' list. And so southerly it's almost in Derbyshire? I'll give you that. You can have the more northern argument if it makes you happy!
Ultra Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Ken Bates in libel defeat shame Yet many Leeds fans STILL defend him....
weluv Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 he's a ****, i wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Though if he was lying on the ground having a heart attack, i think I'd indulge.
C-man Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Ken Bates in libel defeat shameYet many Leeds fans STILL defend him.... Like who? I don't know of one Leeds fan that actually approves of him being their Chairman.
lildave3 Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Like who? I don't know of one Leeds fan that actually approves of him being their Chairman. Me neither
Ultra Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 You obviously don't see Waccoe that often (not that you should bother... ).
Shrenchel Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 You obviously don't see Waccoe that often (not that you should bother... ). Mate you talk so much breeze. I've never met a Leeds fan that wouldn't trample their own granny to kick the cvnt. I had a look on waccoe and all I can see is a 25 page thread of everyone calling him a cockend apart from one or two lads trying to support him and getting roundly vilified for it.
