JoeyB Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 On reflection we have to give leeds credit, the atmosphere and the fact that they stood for 90 mins. fair play to them!
lou Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 I thought the ref had an excellant game on the whole. My good friend is a true Leeds fan so I felt for him last night but thats as far as that goes He knows they are going to have to go some to get out of that division anytime soon with all the big teams down there now! I think theyll lose their better players (Beckford looked like hed already gone last night!) Cant believe Whitbread wasnt dead after seeing his neck snap back on slow mo when he collided with their keeper... made me feel bad! End of the day Leeds didnt take their many chances and Millwall did so they won. I just hope Millwall lose in the final
hairy Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Last night Millwall were a shower of cheating, timewasting bastards who demonstrated gamesmanship at almost every level. Not used to gamesmanship up North. Dont even know the meaning of the word
Finnegan Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 More pleased Millwall won than Leeds lost. The obsession on here is incredibly over the top. Any other season and I'd agree with you. I think it's been relevant to this year. Leeds have previously been a club I couldn't give an absolute fuck about it. Besides the 'town full of pakis' shit I'd never really found them on my radar at all. This year I've actually been reading a fair bit of stuff from other fans as League One, unlike the Championship, actually give a damn about us haha. And some of the stuff the Leeds fans write is just horrific. They're the most insane bunch of delusional, pig headed, insane fuckers to ever grace football. I'm certainly not obsessed and I'll definitely go back to not giving a shit in another day or two but I won't hide the amusement I took from this to be honest.
MC Prussian Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Again, if WACCOE really is the biggest Leeds United forum (according to a self-label), then the majority of Leeds fans are indeed retarded mentally disabled. Irony equals clean clothes to them. League One seems to be the level they're most confident at. Imagine they dropped even lower. MASSIVE.
Nick_The_Tyke Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 It's not even as if you could say that some bunch of internet buffoons are not necessarily representative of Leeds fans in general. Sadly, they are. They're all arrogant, delusional pillocks. When you go to Elland Road they actually sing anti-Man Utd songs! What's wrong with them? As if Leeds and Man Utd are some sort of big rivals - Leeds haven't figured on Man Utd (or any other top flight team's) radar for about a decade. Yet ask any fan of the White Shite which club he hates most and he'll say Man U without so much as blinking. As you (and we in Barnsley) know, being relegated to League One is no fun at all. But the table takes no account of fanbase of history. After 46 games it tells no lies and everyone ends up where they deserve to be. Most clubs' fans accept their fate with humility, even Norwich fans this season. Just not Leeds - pitch invasions against Ipswich to try to get the match abandoned when they went down, harping on about luck, referees, conspiracies and the rest as excuses for not getting promoted. So stuff 'em. Let them languish in the lower leagues and let the rest of us laugh like drains. All together now (to the tune of the God-awful Marching on Together) Staying down forever You'd best get settled in (nah na nah na na nah) Bates is a tit And your fans are full of shit We hate Leeds, Leeds, Leeds.
Shrenchel Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 Fair play to Leeds. Atmosphere last night looked incredible. All 4 sides standing, didnt see one person sat down in the whole fooking place. Theyre wasted in division 3 really.

Anti-Leeds songs still get sung by the Man United fans at every single away game and any clued up Man U fan will tell you leeds are definitely one of his 3 most hated teams.
Koke Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 I've never given Leeds the time of the day. They mean absolute fuck all to me. This season is a bit different as they have shown themselves to be a bunch of illiterate cunts. The only reason I cared about them this year is because they were our direct rival in League 1. Their racial chants have never bothered me that much. Meh. It's cringe worthy and boring now and most of us are used to getting it all the time anyway. There are many other teams I hate more than Leeds.
C-man Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 If everyone hated us like everyone hates Leeds, would you enjoy it? I think I would....
Koke Posted 15 May 2009 Posted 15 May 2009 If everyone hated us like everyone hates Leeds, would you enjoy it? I think I would.... Yeah we would thrive on it and we would develop a siege mentality that they generally do.

Leeds never bothered me until this season. As you say they were our rivals and there fans came on here like there shit don't stink. I was actually thinking today how ironic it was last night because I was cheering Millwall on but three years back, I hated millwall because of the banter I use to have with a couple of millwall fans. Changes from season to season I guess, but there will always be your derby's, forests etc
Ultra Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 Yeah, Man Utd fooking hate Leeds. With good reason. Leeds fans still celebrate the Munich air crash which killed half the Man Utd team.
Ultra Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 Yeah we would thrive on it and we would develop a siege mentality that they generally do. This happened in 02-03. Many fans were jealous that we won promotion despite spending half the season in administration. Envy is a powerful motivating force on message boards. Doesn't seem to do Man Utd any harm though..
SystonFox Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 what makes me giggle about WACCOE and most Leeds fans i know is they think because they stand, and have a good banter, away support and sing a variety of songs lasting more than 3 minutes means they shouldn't be in Lge 1 they should be Champions League or better. it just doesn't work that way. take a look at Cheltenham fans, 4-0 down to top of the league and they are doing a conga in the away end. admittedly Leeds support is better than LCFC and Cheltenham Town but as was said on here when we beat them 1-0; singing songs doesn't win you 3 pts.
Guest Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 You can have the best fans in the world, it's what happens on the pitch that counts. If Leeds do have the best fans, it emphasises even more how shit the team is, if they can't get motivated or just aren't good enough to produce the results that the support deserves.

None of us were really talking about Leeds that much last season, and we won't next season either. I'm sure we'll all have a wry smile to ourselves if they lose at home to Exeter or something, but the mass hilarity that has broken out this season when they lose will be absent. Their fans are largely fuckwits, that much is true, but there are many more as bad or even worse. Take Millwall for example, far-right racist tossers are two a penny at The Den yet they haven't attracted half as much distaste on here. Most of us were pretty pleased when Millwall beat Leeds to be honest. Most of my distaste is towards the WACCOE forum, being as it is full of dead-headed knuckle-dragging racist evolutionary throwbacks, rather than Leeds as a whole.
Corky Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 Leeds do have a large support that is loud, but I think a few still haven't accepted where they are. You can state you belong higher up in the pyramid, but you don't, you deserve to be where you are. Leeds are a League 1 club and the size of their support won't change that.
Red Leicester Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 Yeah we would thrive on it and we would develop a siege mentality that they generally do. That, and their so-called vocal support, did them dick-all good this year. Again.
maddog Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 If Millwall were given the usual away allocation it could of got ugly. Probably a wise decision. The thousand Millwall fans who did get tickets had to pick the tickets up from a service station on the M1, and there was a 1 hour time frame to do so (5pm-6pm I think) Why
Corky Posted 16 May 2009 Posted 16 May 2009 Why So they couldn't sell them on beforehand, or take alternative transport to Leeds and cause trouble.
leicesterseddon Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Why So the police could get them all in one place before giving them an escort to the ground. Pretty obvious I would have thought
Ultra Posted 17 May 2009 Posted 17 May 2009 Waccoe posters wet themselves about the atmosphere on Thursday night But if it was really that good, how come Leeds fans were so often outsung by Millwall's, even though they outnumbered them by around FORTY to one?
