Uncle Albert Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 A levels. Psychology, Business Academy, Law (if get C in English) and Maths (if get B in maths) You are picking 4 testing subjects and you think you will struggle with your GCSE's. Good luck.
Asha Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Why does everyone do law and psychology? Because they're new. You are picking 4 testing subjects and you think you will struggle with your GCSE's.Good luck. If I want to, I can manage. I just couldn't be bothered in the last 2 years.
Libertine Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Because they're new. Fair enough, where's it gonna lead though? Law makes sense because it'll look good regardless of what you want to do, but psychology? Just seems oddly popular to me.

Uncle Albert Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Because they're new.If I want to, I can manage. I just couldn't be bothered in the last 2 years. Its no about whether you could be bothered or not, your either clever enough to do subjects or not. Its not my life but if you fear that you wont do well in your GCSE's then dont pick testing subjects. Maths? One of the hardest A Levels to pass. Fact. So is Psychology.
Nod.E Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Fair enough, where's it gonna lead though? Law makes sense because it'll look good regardless of what you want to do, but psychology? Just seems oddly popular to me. I agree. Personally I don't see why? I think everyone may be choosing it because it's seen as interesting. Not sure where it would get you, though? If you're looking forward to results, click here!
potter3 Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Ahh the old try harder next year gag.I've been using that for quite a while now. Next year is the one though. So did I. And I actually did this year. Pity I did so bad last year, it dragged my overall grades down <_< Its no about whether you could be bothered or not, your either clever enough to do subjects or not. Its not my life but if you fear that you wont do well in your GCSE's then dont pick testing subjects. Maths? One of the hardest A Levels to pass. Fact. So is Psychology. Maths AS is easy. I got an A after resitting the whole thing I got a U the first time

I would say I'm clever enough, I'm just lazier than lildave.

potter3 Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 First module in January? Solid. No, the whole year I couldn't believe it at the time
Uncle Albert Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 No, the whole year I couldn't believe it at the time Ah I see.
the_bowman Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 I'm opening mine on the feckin' news! Can't wait
Uncle Albert Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 I'm opening mine on the feckin' news! Can't wait Good luck mate.
the_bowman Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Good luck mate. Cheers DOn't know what channel yet though.
AoWW Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Psychology interests me. I want to be able to read people. People always seem to try to read me. They have my utmost sympathy. Oh, and good luck to all GCSErs for tomorrow.
The Stig Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 I'm opening mine on the feckin' news! Can't wait Good luck with that mate. I'm far from shy and have done TV interviews before (I present our schools TV programmes!) but I'd never do that
The Blur Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Yup. Annoyed tbh.I'm at the point where I don't care, providing I pass English as I'm not doing all that bullshite again. But my family are convinced it's going to be all A/A* like my 'over-the-top need for A*' sister. What I will get will be classed as a failure. I'm ok with it, but they aren't. My sister's counting down the hours till MY results come out, and really I'd just rather get it over with. SNAP! but the scenario are bit different for me as I'm ironically waiting for my A-levels results (the college lost it then found it two days ago and posted it with a first class stamp) feel like I'm back in school as a guy that can't move on this is my first post whoooo!
Alexikokopops Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Fair enough, where's it gonna lead though? Law makes sense because it'll look good regardless of what you want to do, but psychology? Just seems oddly popular to me. My girlfriend does a psychology degree, I think she just uses it to manipulate me without me realising.

Its not my life but if you fear that you wont do well in your GCSE's then dont pick testing subjects. Maths? One of the hardest A Levels to pass. Fact. So is Psychology. I'd have to disagree. I wouldn't say i'm clever. Quite slow tbh. All I have is a decent memory, some logic, willingness and 110% effort, and I've always come out with more than what i've wanted.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 My girlfriend does a psychology degree, I think she just uses it to manipulate me without me realising. Your together arn't you
Asha Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Going to get mine in a bit...rather get it over with.
Tabou Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Going to get mine in a bit...rather get it over with. Good look Mr Nussul and others. GCSE's main purpose is to allow you to get into Higher Education. So even if you manage to scrape through by the skin of yoru teeth, just make sure you try really hard in your A-Levels. It really is worth it in the long run.
