Bert Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Coooome On Yoooou Blooooz!!!! Hoping for a win and a clean sheet!
The Reverend Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Gettin in there early bert eh! Anyway, should win this one, they are poor. I'm hoping for a few goals aswel. :city:
Staf Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 I might put a few quid on Morrison to score first 40-1 according to the os.
Lovejoy Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Don't reckon this will be that easy. Without meaning to sound arrogant, you'd expect Tranmere to raise their game when playing at a ground bigger than most in this division. 2-0, late goals from Howard and Oakley .
lildave3 Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Huzzah! (G'WON) BIG STEVE and Oh Maxi Gradel to score. 2-1 win. Come on Leicester.
Jonezy Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 C'MON LEICESTER!!!!! A win would be nice...... And a goal from midfield for once...
lcfc_jme Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Hoping for some good news from Sir Jeff Stelling tomorrow. It'll make the pints taste that bit better. One Team One Dream. And all the other slogans.
Ibbyfox Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 There better be some goals in the right end - getting fed up off low scoring games after last season. I'll stick my neck out and say 3-0 (Fryatt, Howard and Gradel).
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 2 - 0. One of them coming from a set-piece.
DB11 Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 I'm not going to this one either and I have a season ticket Hope they win though
Lillehamring Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 i think it is begining to seem reasonable to expect results, we have what is looking like a more than competent team, that seem to be playing with confidence - and it would not be unreasonable to consider that some game soon we are gonna rip some poor side apart, from what i have read tranmere don't have much, but i don't think it will be today. equally, there will probably come a time when we meet some lucky team who bring us back down to reality... i'm hoping he sticks with the same defence as last week, don't wanna see powell playing 'just because'.... seems a shame to drop any of the current back line... anyway, i will be more than happy with another clean sheet, so maybe one or two nil city... and if so i think fryatt and a midfielder to score.
Fox You Forest Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 I have a good feeling today im going big. 4-0 City, Fryatt 2, Howard, Gradel. :scarf:
Asha Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 I'm not going to this one either and I have a season ticket Hope they win though Unlucky.... Where you got to go instead? Did you pay for yours or was it paid for you? - - - Meanwhile, I think we'll win this 2-1....they score mid-way through first half and we battle to get back and in about the 70th minute we equalise and then get a stoppage time winner. Howard with both.

Cal Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Leicester 7 - Howard (3), King, Fryatt (2), Morrison Tranmere 0
Thracian Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Leicester 7 - Howard (3), King, Fryatt (2), MorrisonTranmere 0 I wonder what odds I'd get for that!
tranmereforever Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 hiya Tranmere fan here, I think you have got to be clear favourites for the game, we are very hit and miss, against Swindon we were awful and if we play like that we will get hammered by you, however, the last couple of games we have played much better and if Moore decides to drop his son in favour of Greenacre then we may give you some problems Our defence is poor though this season and we are far too reliant on Goodison getting us out of trouble I think it will be close today, last few seasons we had a very good record against the "bigger teams" in the division getting results at Forest and Leeds away, it tends to be against the teams lower down we struggle im going for a 1-1 draw today

His dad, manager Ronnie Moore, has no shortage of options for places in the front three however. Bas Savage has shaken off the bug that put him on the sidelines earlier in the month while Chris Greenacre and Chris Shuker confirmed their recoveries by scoring two goals apiece for the reserves in midweek. Fit-again midfielder Gareth Edds is also looking for a first start. Moore says he plans to persist with deploying Antony Kay, a versatile centre-back, as the defensive anchorman for the midfield in a 4-3-3 formation. Using Kay to bring some discipline to the midfield trio helped Rovers to post a first victory of the campaign over Hartlepool at Prenton Park last weekend. Moore said: “Kay gives us a bit of steel in the middle. Whether it’s a short-term or long-term role will depend on how the results go. But if we get the discipline right in midfield I think this is a system that can work well for us.” Leicester, the bookmakers’ second favourites for promotion after dropping down from the Championship last season, are under pressure from supporters to punch their weight in football’s third tier and improve a poor home record in recent years. Moore said: “There is no doubt that visiting teams have done well at the Walkers Stadium in recent years. It seems to give a lift to players who don’t normally perform in a big stadium. “But it’s about your own team. If they are good enough it does not matter what kind of venue they are playing in. They go out and perform. It’s not the stadium, it the team that wins you games.”
AmericanScott Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Just reading the Tranmere forum and their fans seem over the moon if they get a draw. Sadly, i wont be in attendance today, 1 year anniversary with the girlfriend. Unless she has tickets as a surprise... COME ON YOU BLUES!
The Reverend Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 According to this report he's abig doubt anyway</h1> Moore's got a point. C'aaaaaaaaaaaaaamon Leicester, C'aaaaaaaaaaaaaamon Leicester!
bigneville Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Come on you blue boys. 3 points there for the taking today with a good performance.
