How about we play him in goal, at least he is on! Well him being on the wing is just about acceptable when we are winning & top of the table, but if things take a slide (which I doubt) then questions about Dickovs positioning will be asked. I feel we should just bite the bullet & play him upfront & drop Fryatt. IMO Dickov will score the goals Fryatt does anyway, if Dickov HAS to play. I think the real question is why did we sign Dickov if it is to the detrement to the young players & team? Dickov must have thought he was going to start or at least play up front! MM all over this one The count has spoken!!!

Katy Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 Milan had to be involved someway or other, as we know all these Dickov rumours were going on for weeks but in the end Milan waved 6k a week and a 2 year contract in his face to get him here, so now he has to play to justify the wages. If only he could totally leave Pearson to it he was and is showing more than capable. This appears to be the case with a number of clubs at the moment what with Keegan and Curbs resigning due to much interference from Chairmen, I just hope Nige doesn't think he has any choice but to go as well. Milan will never learn will he? As for Nicky, it's early doors he's a young lad his time will come.

He should then be an impact sub, coming on (for one of Fryatt or Howard depending on the game and opposition) and chasing down tired defenders in the last 20 minutes - a role he fulfilled superbly at Blackpool last season as far as I know. The first choice wingers (surely) should be Dyer and Gradel with Levi and Adams providing competition and getting cameos where approproriate

All I can do is to work hard during training and when I am given the chance I have to take it. Nicky is a young man who has his head screwed on and I feel will be a great asset to Leicester. On a personal note I believe NP brought Nicky to Leicester without knowing how good Max Gradelwas. Also Nicky gives him cover on both wings and central midfield. To me this means he is a must for the bench. So why not at least put him on the bench? Ask NP. Paul Dickov HAS to play or be on the bench. So this explains some of the points covered. Well we all knew Mandy had to stick his nose in it somehow. Let the manager get us up and then you'll get your money's worth gees.
Benji Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 All i've read is Dickov HAS to play not: MM enticed Dickov by allowing him to be on the bench/play every game... maybe Dickov asked for it? Maybe Toronto and/or Blackpool had offered the same and was not willing to come unless he knew he'd see some action? I'm not saying MM hasn't interferred, but it is only a possibility until someone says for certain.
