I'll have another crack at this free database, It's too easy though and gets boring after plucking out all the low wage wonderkids. lol

I like winning and signing ridiculous amounts of players.

It's poifeck for me.

I'll post my squad when it's compiled.

Kezmen.. pffft.

Also, Finners when i was reading something about FML on the SI forums earlier and popped in to the FM09 section and read that someone started a game with something like 46 leagues from 17 nations and "finding manager targets" took 3 hours. lol

Sergio Aguero - 37.5m P/Ex

Jenas - 2.1m

Chimbonda 2.2m

It's been a busy 6 months transfer market wise & some of my sales were a bit cheap but that was the most I could get somehow. :dunno:

Keane may be sold for 12m aswell. Im looking at signing - Ireland, Adler or Hart, Guardado & Tevez (contract expires)

Quality keeper.

Managed to sign Van Der Vaart for Blackburn  . Got one or two problems up the right though, on the verge of bringing Anyukov for £8m though.

Doesn't Agüero have a release clause of 37,5? Losing Giovanni is a big loss. He ALWAYS ends up being worth 20+ mil and Bent for 2,8 is in my view also a mistake.

You can pick Asenjo or Oscar Ustari up for about 7m. Both quality keepers, both fairly young. Asenjo is the tits.

If you can get them early then OK. But Asenjo doesn't seem to have gotten any better on mine, and I can't help but feel disappointed about Ustari (vs. FM 08). Carrizo, now there's a keeper!

Yeh I agree selling Bent for that was poor.

However, I have the 9.3.0 version and Giovanni is nearly everytime shit so it's not a loss & Aguero's fee release was 55m.

Ustari & Asenjo are both crap.

The only good keepers are - Adler, Akinfeev & Carrizo as you said.

Whichever keeper you buy you can guarantee at some point he'll run to the edge of the area to get the ball and then decide to not clear it and the striker will nick it off him and put it into the empty goal. :@

Or give the ball the weakest, shittiest little punt to one of their attackers, most likely an unmarked one.

Asenjo's awesome on my St Pauli game. Really very, very reliable. Ustari's not as good as on previous versions, true, but given you can pick him up pretty cheap in the first season I think he's pretty solid.

You mention Akinfeev but trying to pry him away from Russia will cost you a SERIOUS wod.

His contract always runs out on mine and I seem to pick him up for free :D

In the summer, I will be waiting

On a sidenote, SI Games is giving one of each of those away for free:

With the domestic football season over for another long, seemingly never ending 2 months we can only be grateful that the recent World Cup qualifiers have given us a prolonged fix of the world’s greatest game.

And with England’s comprehensive 4-0 win in Kazakhstan on Saturday, another victory against minnows Andorra will surely see Capello’s charges pre-booked on the first plane out to South Africa next June.

To mark England’s upturn in fortunes, and following on from signed Italy and France shirts in the past we’re delighted to announce that our next FMClub prize, courtesy of Subside Sports, is a signed Michael Owen England shirt circa 2001. You should remember the shirt as the one England, and Owen, wore in their 5-1 demolition of Germany. If that’s not enough of a reason to want this shirt, the signature of England’s 4th leading goalscorer of all time should be!

Luckily the give-aways don’t stop there because 2 runners up will each receive their pick of shirts from the Subside Sports website. How about the stylish shirt worn by none other than recently crowned European Champions Barcelona? Or perhaps one of the new international shirts for 09-10?

If that still wasn’t enough, then we’re also throwing in a voucher code that will entitle all our FMClub members to 10% off any product on the Subside Sports website in June. (The voucher code provided is subject to Subside Sport Limited terms and conditions.)

Still haven’t signed up to the FMClub?

Then you can do so at www.footballmanager.com/fmclub. Inside the FMClub section you’ll find details of how to redeem your 10% discount, and once registered you’re automatically entered in the draws for future prizes.

We need your support!

In other news, Football Manager 2009 has been shortlisted in no less than 4 categories for the Golden Joysticks – the Game Awards voted for by the people. We’re up for PC Game of The Year, Handheld Game of The Year, The Ultimate Game of the Year and last but not least UK Developer of The Year for Sports Interactive.

Now we need you to vote again and choose Football Manager 2009 and Football Manager Handheld 2009 as your favourite game in each of those categories! Go on, be our 12th man! Vote here - www.goldenjoystick.com/

That Barca kit is beyond sexual.

Pretty much finished 6th which is large disappointment.

Lost to Sporting in the UEFA Cup Semi.

Bad times.

am wearing it now, it is bloody nice, however it looks slightly fake because the stitching quality isnt the best as the cllima cool lining can be seen through some bits. great shirt though, i didnt realise it was the new one when i bought it either! :)

I still play FM 2007 lol, never really got into 2008 and 2009 was full of bugs at the start and even after the patches there was some people talking about how there was too many unrealistic goals scored from long range etc... I have always found FM 2007 to be the most complete version of FM ever and it is less computer intense. I can run like 35-40 leagues on FM 2007 on my computer and it still runs fast. Try that with FM 2009 and my comp would probably blow up lol.
