Finnegan, i've started as St Pauli on your recommendation.

Who did you sign first?

All assistance is appreciated.

You should not be playing this game if you need help in picking players.

It's bad enough using other peoples tactics and training schedules, which ive been guilty of in the past :P

But wheres the joy in someone else doing it all for you?

Well tbh, I have a feeling it's hard to attract good players to St Pauli :dunno:

Im not exactly some sad **** who knows the German Second Division perfectly and who to sign, no offence mate.

Its St Pauli not Tottenham.

All was going well with Spurs, 3rd season finished 3rd season one, 5th seaosn 2, and now top on goal difference after 11 games!

had only conceded 3 in 7, but then Akinfeev got injured for 6 weeks and in all competitions since he has been out conceded 19 :frusty:

Aguero 8 weeks from fitness <_<

I'm using the Beautiful Football tactics for the first 15-20 games was awesome, but now :dunno: but it's strange strikers wont score, defenders won't score and midfielders are constantly sent off :blink:

can anyone help me in regards to OI's and team talks! :thumbup:

right well team talks are hard, if you have good assistant then most of the time i just ask assistant as most of the time it doesnt make much difference when you look on the feedback.

but if you try every now and then to single a player out to 'make a difference here' or even the silent treatment at half time which i ind works if im losing but playing ok. cant help you on that too much though, crap at it myself and i feel the system needs changing for the new game!

as for OI's i can help.

heres a few things i stick to, not all.

you need to close down always and weaker foot on both fullbacks, to stop them having time o build and get their crosses in as most of the time on the game they dont get picked up.

fast wingers should not have tight marking use dbut dont put 'never use' on tight marking.

tall but slow strikers will get the ball to the feet uless in the box so never Tackle hard on them because they will win many free kicks outside the box because they can hold it up well. but do use close down always and weaker foot.

tough tackling midfielders, use everything on them especially if they are playing DMC as they will run the game if given time!

if you feel a midfielder is weak in terms of overall ability (compared to the rest of the squad) then change the 'change to feet setting' to try and force the ball out to that player and have somebody marking him tight and tackling hard to completely scare him out of the game and ultimately keep winning the midfield battle. helps if they have low composure, bravery and agility.

just a few i use!

hope it helps, just common sense really.

just look at the players stats or lack of them.

for example if you have a fast winger, dont stay tight to him as balls in behind or passes to feet can mean he will rip you up simply because of the space your defender leaves,

also if he is right footed and playing on the left and has good finishing ability, then close him down when he gets nearer to your box, if hes got poor crossing then the chances are his left foot is going to be even worse so make him go onto his left,

if the player is right footed and playing on the right you could let him onto his right foot providing his crossing isnt too good to be clinical and if his composure and decision making is low the that might be a smart move rather than letting him come inside to maybe make a killer through ball. so long as you close him down and tackle him hard

As far as I know, the 2 Bundesliga actually surprisingly has a higher attraction than the Championship (by like 1 or 2 at the most.) Pauli are a fairly low profile club but you should be able to attract similar players there than you would at Leicester in the second season (assuming you go up.)

I can't remember who I signed in the first year, not many I don't think, you don't get much money iirc. I think I sold half my squad and got very lucky with Ismael Bangoura on the cheap then sold him for about 16m to Newcastle at the end of a decent season! Him and Marius Ebbers pretty much got me promoted I think.

You got some good players there already, though. Hain is solid for that league, Trojan and Ludwig are good, Ebbers isn't exactly a bullet but he's strong for that league.

OH! Can't remember if Lucian Sanmartean came? He's a free agent on the 9.1 database (as I've said a million times, I hate January databases) and is fooking quality at Championship / Liga Adelente / 2 Bundesliga levels. AMR / AMC from Romania. Look for him in the first turn.

Just stacked up on players halfway through my first season with Farsley.

Got my hands on former Cov player Andy Ducros (bought from Solihull Moors) and Gareth Sheldon (Tamworth).

Also, just by accident, found myself employing a new 20-year old wunderkind striker.

Scores goals for fun and just recently killed Rushden with a beauty of a 40-yard kick (Gudjonsson-style).

Harry Harris (Walsall, used to play for Hinckley on loan). :thumbup:
