Legend_in_blue Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 This is a huge cup tie. Let's go out and win it 10-0!
Asha Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Clearer idea of the format http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_League_Trophy_2008-09 So basically, we keep playing within the North East Section until there's a winner of that section, which will play the winner of the North West Section in the 'Area Final', before taking on the Southern winner in the final
JakeShingler Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Nice draw. We should have a very decent chance of progressing further in this cup. Is it me or does the Northern section look stronger than the Southern one? I think its just you.

Tilley Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 If Rotherham can beat Leeds, & Rochdale beat Carlisle. The JPT is ours.
Webbo Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Good draw. If the tickets are around a tenner or less I'll definitely be going.

Matt Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 If we get a shite attendance for this game how many of those not there for this game would be going to Wembley should we get to the final? I love how many people are slagging this trophy off, but the fact of the matter is if we got to the final or if we won it I doubt many people would be slagging it off then.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 If we get a shite attendance for this game how many of those not there for this game would be going to Wembley should we get to the final? Me and I'm content to admit it. I'll quite happily go to this game but not at the prices I'm expecting to be offered, all Mandaric has to do is lower the prices and more people will turn up, simple. I think we'd do well to get anywhere near 10,000 for this.

TBF though and i'm not sure but this is what I thought - On these games it's nothing to do with Milan, Its the Football League/F.A that set the prices. If i'm wrong and prices are set by individual clubs then fair enough you have a point.

I think I remember reading this - club's can not offer season ticket holders tickets for free either. Or something like that.
lavrentis Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 I'm going. Can show a few mates round our nice ground.

I'm quote happy to admit I'm one of those. To get to Leicester on a Tuesday night means half a day off work and a 240 mile round trip. To get to Wembley means a £12.50 train ticket (includes a day travel card in London) and a half hour train.

Thats a fair point then, If we were drew away in this competition I doubt i'd get to the game, but for a majority of Leicester fans will have no excuse of not going to a home match normally. I understand some people might not be able to afford a ticket for the game, or might be to stubborn to buy a ticket for this game but we make to Wembley and they'll be there i'm sure. As said who am I to judge I don't go to many away matches so in some ways you could say i'm just as bad, but people are moaning about our attendance and what it will be and thus why i'm making the points.
