The draw will take place on Soccer AM (Sky Sports) at 9.30am. City will be joined in the Northern Section draw by Crewe, Leeds United, Morecambe, Stockport County, Tranmere Rovers, S****horpe United, Bury, Carlisle United, Chester City, Darlington, Huddersfield Town, Lincoln City, Rochdale, and Rotherham United, This is the Foxes first appearance in the competition and they kick-started their campaign in excellent fashion with a 3-0 victory at League One rivals Hartlepool United last Tuesday evening. Steve Howard, Nicky Adams and Matty Fryatt were on target at Victoria Park. The second round matches are scheduled to be played on October 7 or 8.
davieG Posted 5 September 2008 Author Posted 5 September 2008 If we continue to progress in this competition I hope we get a few home games because looking at the potential opposition there's some pretty horrendous Tue/Weds night journeys to undertake.
norfolkfox222 Posted 5 September 2008 Posted 5 September 2008 Is it me been really stupid but reading the list of teams plus Leicester i make that 15 teams!!? Hows that going to work?? Surely they missing one or i am haha!
davieG Posted 5 September 2008 Author Posted 5 September 2008 Judging by the draw and results from the 1st Round it looks like they've missed off Grimsby who beat Chesterfield on the Wednesday evening. Link Result at the bottom of the page.
