Ok, I'll be the first then:

Martin 7 - Another good display today, his handling was excellent. Solid.

Gilbert 7 - Steady game for him today, helped out Adams when he could in attack.

Hobbs 7.5 - Again, both centre backs were very good. Looks like these two have a solid partnership between them.

Tunchev 7.5 - See Hobbs.

Powell 7 - Solid as ever, he's a great player to have in the team. He loves playing for us, you can see that clearly.

Adams 6 - OK, but yet again his set pieces were god awful. He either can't beat the first man, or he completely overhits it and it goes out of play.

King 6 - Missed an absolutely golden opportunity to score in the first half, but his overall play was decent enough otherwise. Can't say I particularly noticed him during the game so that can't be much of a bad thing.

Oakley 6 - Ditto King.

Dyer 7 - Not as threatening as he has been the last couple of games, but he looked dangerous at times. Won the penalty with his cross, and of course grabbed that vital goal at the end.

Fryatt 7 - I would still call this a fairly generous rating. First half he was poor, and missed yet another one-on-one by hitting it straight at the keeper. Corners Matty, corners! However, he took his first goal beautifully. Can't say too much about the penalty, he just had to tuck it away nicely.

Howard 6 - Won most of what came his way today, his hold up play didn't always work out however.

6's all round, apart from Fryatt and Dyer. Probably just for the goals.

a bit harsh lildave - it was a tough game today and they did enough to get the victory. Chris Powell looked a bit vulnerable today.

Probably.

In all honesty I barely watched the second half (I missed both of their goals) and I thought the first half was shit.

What the hell were you up to then? <_<

First goal, left side right side. I think.

Second goal I don't know. I was looking for Tilley's earring for one actually.

That happened to me as well, I'm not particularly bothered though. At least it wasn't one of our goals that we missed.

I missed their second as well.

Martin 6.5 - Ok

Gilbert 5 - I wasn't impressed, doesn't look like he's got a football brain

Hobbs 6 - his awareness wasn't the best today

Tunchev 5 - The amount of times he headed it back to their attackers/midfield was ridiculous

Powell 6.5 - Very cool, stands off his man and isn't tempted to make any rash challenges - very average though

Adams 5.5 - awful 1st half but he improved 2nd. He's very good at keeping his confidence up even when fans are getting on his back. Good belief in his own ability

King 6 - ok

Oakley 5.5 - I just never really notice him but he must be doing something right?

Dyer 6 - funny goal, but other than that, not a lot.

Fryatt 7 - MOTM (for LCFC) keeps getting himself in good positions, offside too many times still though. Half the problem is the midfield delaying the pass though...

Howard 6 - Needs to learn how to win freekicks rather than going in like a neanderthal every time. Should take a leaf out of shearers book. a few good flick ons

Gradel 6.5 - Wanted the ball for the 10 mins he was on the pitch and had only one thing in mind - ATTACK! so for that, better than most.

Some harsh results on here. It was a tough away game and I thought the lads did well, particularly second half. Martin made an absolutely brilliant save when we were 1-0 up from a shot about 12 yards out - one thing I can say against his perfomance was their second goal as when the cross was put over I was calling for him to come and punch or catch it, but it ended up as a header for Dickinson (I liked him and think we could do with him - put himself about and a constant threat, bit of pace, guy I wouldn't mind seeing in a City shirt). All in all the performance was good. Still think centre mid needs a bit of grit - noticing this season Oakley diving in for tackles, missing and the opposition player is past him. Defence switched off for a bit but we made up for it in the end - Lloyd again :scarf: . Great day out and a great last minute win. Support, as usual, was great. Well done everyone.

I still find the ratings of those who attended a bit strange compared to the commentary.

Kingy gets a six yet supposedly plays a part in two goals and has the parried shot from which Howard scores what some believe was a perfectly legitimate goal. He was also mentioned fairly regularly on the commentary - both for having shots and for making passes/interceptions which suggested that he was fairly constantly involved if not by any means error free.

Oakley, on the other hand, didn't get a mention at all first half and only the briefest of mentions second half. In fact I cannot remember hearing him being involved in anything of significance. Yet he gets the same mark.

I'm not for a moment saying the marks are wrong. Just asking if the commentary gave the wrong impression or whether King has simply been marked down for his miss?

What makes these ratings so interesting is how so many can see a game in so many different ways!!! I cannot understand how anybody can give Gilbert or Hobbs a low mark on yesterday's performance and as for King as already mentioned he seems to be a player who does so much for the team without being spectacular.

Sometimes you have to notice what is being done off the ball as well as what is on it. Same with Oakley it seems that some people have rigid opinions of his contributions but for me there wasn't a bad performance yesterday - some drifted in and out at times but otherwise a good performance.

lol

You and Dicko were well gone.

I blame it on the ridiculously long, boring, delayed train, gave me nothing to do.

As for the player ratings,

Lloyd Dyer 10 - God. Love Him. Hero.

You can't base your judgment on performances from radio commentary.

Yet again you have got an agenda when it comes to King. Face the fact that fans who actually went didn't rate King that highly, and certainly didn't mention playing a part in 2 goals.

Seriously, you should be gagged whenever you've not been to a game because your comments are unbelievable.

Martin 8 - Some great saves today! especially the one he saved with his leg!

Gilbert 6 - Didn't do much today, but helped out Adams when he could in attack.

Hobbs 7.5 - Solid.

Tunchev 7.5 - Solid.

Powell 7 - Great player for his age.

Adams 7 - Played well set up Fryats first goal but set plays were poor

King 6 - Didn't do to much

Oakley 6 - same as King

Dyer 7 - Didn't make as many runs as other games but won us the peno and scored a lucky goal!

Fryatt 6- He was poor today and missed that one on one. Scored a good goal and penalty helped hm get a 6

Howard 5- Won a few headers but apart from that did nothing apart from celebrating wierdly when his goal was disallowed

He only asked a question, if you didn't fancy answering it then you didn't have to. :dunno:

I find a load of these scores at odds with what I heard as well, as if the first half wiped out anything good in the second...but I'll just climb back into the cupboard now and put my gag back on.
