Ozwin Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Got a few job interviews lined up and need some smart stuff. Because I'm a dirty filthy scum of a human being who wear tracksuit bottoms and jeans all the while I don't have any smart stuff to wear. I think I'm sorted in the shirt and trousers department (although if you know anywhere I can buy these for cheap aswell, then doth tell) but I don't own any shoes and don't want to spend a fortune on any. Are there any cheap shops about? I remember being in loads when I was little with my mum but can't for the life of me remember where they are. Any ideas?

You could probably get a decent pair at Next for a reasonable price. Not £10 though.

Samilktray Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 (cough) Yes. (cough) So does my Mum, so i'm regularly plugging the place. Although thats partly because I too want a job there.
Unit Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 I got my work ones from tk maxx, not too bad for like 15 quid
AmericanScott Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Go to Deichmann. It's near the clocktower, big yellow place. Got my work shoes for half price (originally £15, got them for £7.50) and they are impressive. They always have cheap deals in there.
Ozwin Posted 9 October 2008 Author Posted 9 October 2008 Awesome. I'll check it out, there's loads of small independants but I don't fancy trailing around them all.
Bert Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 I got mine in the sale from USC. £45 i think they was. BARG.

AmericanScott Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 I got mine in the sale from USC. £45 i think they was. BARG. I saw Joe Mattock in there about a week after we got relegated. He looked quite happy about spending his wages on stupid clothes.

Wouldn't you though ? Like if you where a footballer and got relegated, would you stop going out and start shopping at primark ? Fair play to him, if i was footballer i would splash out on clothes.

hairy Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 Shirts from ASDA £4 Shoes from Clarkes in the sale £8. They are good shoes too.
Tabou Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 Believe it or not, you can get a half decent pair of smart shoes from Matalan for a £10er. Not my personal choice, but I did buy some in an emergency last week when I ripped my shoes on my clutch pedal . Not bad to be fair. If your interested, I will sell you some Nicol Fahri shoes, size 9, at a VERY reasonable price. But not £10.
The People's Hero Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 Tabou - tell them about your new cuban heels. And tell him where you got them and how much they were - and pow. Job done.
