XBox But still not got Live. Haven't had much time on the drums yet, moved the Xbox has moved into my room so if I even attempted it now the noise in the main room would be unbearable. <_<
GLC Posted 10 January 2009 Posted 10 January 2009 I suppose I'm one of the 'hardcore' players on these games, and one of my mates is fecking awesome, he's like 5th on the world on a couple of songs, but I think Rock Band is for the more serious, high-scoring, precision-obsessed players, whereas GH is more pick-up-and-play, everyone's heard of GH so it's the best, right? i played rock band first, i liked it alot, but for some reason i prefer GH, like i played battlefield on xbox first, but i prefer it on ps3

To be honest I'm better at drums, but I'll take you on Dammit on drums on expert - downloaded from XBL, that is insane. It's gotta be like 160 bpm with double and triple pedals, I just cramp up after about 30 seconds.

I do like the fact that the drumkit in GH has the cymbals, although playing it last week at a friend's I did notice the Orange messing up occasionally.

Manwell Pablo Posted 26 February 2010 Posted 26 February 2010 What about the instruments? Can't really comment on GH drums as I've never used them. Rock band 2 drums are very good. Most people prefere GH guitars although personally I vastly prefere Rock bands stratocaster. Microphones are both just USB mics. EDIT: Ultimatly Alex the thing that should be swining it is soundtrack, the instruments aren't vastly different and neither is the gameplay.

It may be worth remembering that GH instruments work with RB but not the other way around. That used to be the case but I am not sure on the newer releases

Alexikokopops Posted 24 March 2010 Posted 24 March 2010 Went for the Guitar Hero instruments in the end (it was the drums that did it). I have to say though, Beatles Rock Band is astonishingly brilliant.
