We're not for sale

I think it's just his way of announcing the losses, I guess he's expecting sales talk by the media when the losses are officially announced.

Considering we couldn't afford the Walkers when in the Championship it's hardly a surprise.

Why is he warning us?? We're not all stupid... This whole article worries me, why now, is this really a significant time, is he trying to bail out?? I know he said he wouldn't sell up but there is no honesty or integrity in football anyway....

Did he?

£25m or not, if you consider our league status when he bought us, playing squad and their wages, gate receipts and general sales turnover, he'd be mad to consider selling on now.

Our overall value must have dipped dramatically on top of a very turbulent economic climate that eveyone is feeling.

At least not at this moment in time. Leagues are like the stockmarket, the higher you climb the more the price increases.

Milan bought high and won't sell low.

Basically MM has stuffed in £9million for new shares. £4.5 mill now and £4.5 mill by 31 May 2008. That goes into the Club.

That gives him 75% control. Because the new shares have flooded the existing shares.

Then he has agreed to buy the existing shares from existing shareholders at 10p in the £ by 15 August 2010 at the latest. BUT if we go up into the Prem in the next 3 years he will pay an additional 40p in the £ at the start of the season we go up. AND if we stay up that season he will pay an additional 50p in the £ at the start of that 2nd season in the Prem.

This is all done by Call Options to buy those shares and the existing shareholders have Put Options requiring MM to buy at those prices in MM doesn't do so if the conditions are met.

MM is providing a personal shareholder's guarantee for that money - but not backed up by a bank guarantee.

No plans to do anything about buying the stadium.

EGM on 9 March to deal with the formalities.

So the deal is for £9 Million PLUS another minimum of £600,000 for shareholders by 2010 BUT if we go up they get half their money baack (£3 mill) and if we stay up they get all their money back(£6 mill).

So clever MM gets the club for under £10 mill. If he pays more it's because we have hit the big time and he can easily afford it.

Also he takes over the Club's liabilities obviously.

And we are nowhere near the big time for his plan to pay off. I would suggest that with our fall from the Championship, he has had no choice but to reshape us into a lean outfit.

Reading through your post, it concerns me that if we don't bounce back on the first time of asking, when will Milan lose his patience and draw a line under this venture? Any successful businessman will call time on a project that requires far too much money and resource for very little gain.

Buying a football club is definitely an emotional purchase. We all eventually get bored with our toy sets, especially if they don't live up to the hype.

Hmm... why tell us we aren't for sale when nobody is saying we are... there must be some rumours or talks taking place...

Tbh, I agree with Munzie... if we don't bounce back at the first time of asking, Milan'll be off.

im thinking things will happen soon too ... maybe closing 2 corner sections(were hardly and one sits anyway) to save on costs ect but were not for sale.... shame

Having thought about this I've come to the conclusion that the only reason for coming out and saying it's not for sale is to talk the price up.

Fans have questioned whether the Foxes may be prone to a buy-out because of recent investments in other clubs.

He was simply answering a question, Your over thinking it. :D

Where have these fans been asking these questions not on here or any of the other sites I've been on, not in the Merc and I don't think it's been on the radio.

So you'll forgive me if I think that's just a poor excuse to raise the subject, I'll stick with my thoughts as they are more reliable
