Finchy Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20081103/ten-c...sy-5f8abb3.html Far more offensive than the Russell Brand incident, and more complaints during the actual programme. I really hope Clarkson isn't the next to go
Big Ol' Bob Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 I want to know what loyal top gear fan would write a complaint to the bbc about its biggest star. Pathetic....this country is going to the dogs, everyone is too scared or offended by the smallest of things.
Samilktray Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 You've got to be having a laugh. That was a gem of a line.
The Stig Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Jonathan Ross has not left the BBC. Jeremy Clarkson will not leave the BBC. Fact.
Finchy Posted 3 November 2008 Author Posted 3 November 2008 Jonathan Ross has not left the BBC. Jeremy Clarkson will not leave the BBC. Fact. Jonathon Ross WILL leave the BBC soon, Russell Brand HAS left the BBC and Clarkson might not get a choice.
Uncle Albert Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Even a repeat of Mock the Week has got complaints from a 2007 repeat this week. Was class what that Scotish geezer said something about the Queen's pussy being haunted. That programme is just as bad aswell compared to Top Gear and Ross' joke. the bbc should leave Yea that's it.
Fox You Forest Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Where has it said Ross will leave the BBC?
potter3 Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 But I thiknk that was the bit I laughed most at
The Stig Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Jonathon Ross WILL leave the BBC soon, Russell Brand HAS left the BBC and Clarkson might not get a choice. We'll see who's right shall we.
Simi Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 People in this currently are absolute morons. People know what to expect from Clarkson and whether it is polictically correct or not, he has always been left to get on with it because that's how he is. If these people want TV to be so saturated then they lead very sad lives.
Asha Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Even a repeat of Mock the Week has got complaints from a 2007 repeat this week. Was class what that Scotish geezer said something about the Queen's pussy being haunted. Was about to mention this. Outrageous.
Webbo Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20081103/ten-c...sy-5f8abb3.htmlFar more offensive than the Russell Brand incident, and more complaints during the actual programme. I really hope Clarkson isn't the next to go No it's not. Clarkson didn't leave messages on a specific prostitutes or lorry drivers phone. It was bad taste but it wasn't bullying, no comparison.
Guest Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 It's quite simple really. I think the vast majority of TV sets (or receiving devices) have remote controls. There are numerous channels to choose from. If something has offended you, change the frigging channel. Even better, switch the frigging thing off, and get a life.
Finchy Posted 3 November 2008 Author Posted 3 November 2008 What ever happened to turning your fooking tv off? These people take the piss, change the channel or turn it off, don't sit there watching something you find offensive just so you can complain, because that's exactly what they do. *Edit* - just saw Lisa's comment,
Simi Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Clarkson's joke, made before the watershed, sparked 188 complaints to the BBC, out of what the Corporation said was seven million viewers. 188 from 7mil?

Finchy Posted 3 November 2008 Author Posted 3 November 2008 No it's not. Clarkson didn't leave messages on a specific prostitutes or lorry drivers phone. It was bad taste but it wasn't bullying, no comparison. But the subject Clarkson is talking about is far more distasteful! Think about the families of the people that died watching it. Much worse than Brand and Ross being a bit silly on an answer phone, it wasn't bullying.
Matt Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 It's the people that get offended that offend me Fook em'
The Stig Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 This incident has been dragged out of all proportion. Hopefully in 3 months it will have all been forgotten.
Finnegan Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Ross and Brand abused and offended an innocent old bloke. Clarkson was just being his usual self.
Finchy Posted 3 November 2008 Author Posted 3 November 2008 Go and read it. If it was Russell Brand that made that joke, something tells me you wouldn't be sticking up for him, just a hunch

Finchy Posted 3 November 2008 Author Posted 3 November 2008 Clarkson was just being his usual self. And of course that makes it ok then <_<
