Brainy Posted 8 November 2008 Posted 8 November 2008 Anybody else think they're having a similar season to us last year? The odd great away result, struggling to win games at home. I've looked out for Coventry's results this season and i'm seeing similar things to Leicester. I'm gonna predict that Coventry are coming down, Southampton will be lucky not too aswell.

Definately with Southampton I keep seeing similarities between them and ourselves last year. Especially the fact they survived late on as we did the year before last, and they seem to be losing a lot of home games and get random away wins.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 November 2008 Posted 8 November 2008 I reckon Cov will be ok unfortunately, but I don't think Southampton are going to improve much on where they are now, it all depends on whether there are 3 worse teams. Forest and Doncaster are already drifting out-of-touch.

I was watching the Southampton game this afternoon and said "This is like watching us last season". Mixed emotions about Coventry going down...I want them to struggle, like all our rivals but would rather them in the same league so we can play them, so hopefully the stay up (But have a shite season), and we go up.

I'm caught in two minds with Forest as well. Either want them to go down and laugh at them, or want them to stay up so we can play them next year?

I totaly agree nothing like an away day at Cov Sc*m.
syston_fox Posted 8 November 2008 Posted 8 November 2008 I totaly agree nothing like an away day at Cov Sc*m. Playing Coventry away doesn't bother me really. Been to two of the three games we've had at the Ricoh (missed the one on the friday night a couple of years ago) and havent enjoyed either of them. The atmosphere is generally poor and the ground is horrible. I'm not missing playing them this season in the slightest

I'm not missing playing them this season in the slightest Don't get me wrong I know where you're coming from, However it is one thing I am slightly jealous (And I have and will admit it). Casino. Gigs. (£200,000 - I know it's easier said than done, but £200,000 and we could have gigs at the Walkers, A couple of gigs and it will have paid for itself) Huge Exhibition halls (Again they would pay for themself - Gigs [Again], Shows, e.t.c) Hotel. (We have a hotel opposite I suppose - This doesn't bother me so much I suppose)
Corky Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 Southampton look poor, worse than we were last year. They are in a real fight at the bottom. Coventry were around 7th at this stage last year, and look where they finished up. Both could quite easily be dragged into the basement battle.

Simi Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 Coventry away is one of the worst away's in the Championship. Ground is shit. Coventry fans are shit. The support we take to Cov is shit. We never win there = Shit. Would be happy if we never go back there.

You never see a Cov shirt in the centre of town anyways and you'll be lucky to find a decent looking native. I have seen us win at Highfield Road..... I wouldn't get excited about Coventry this season. Watch Norwich! A team full of loanees and not much more. Norwich/Soton/Watford - all look dodgy to be the third team to follow Forest and Donny.

Charlton don't look very clever either .
CosbehFox Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Despite winning at the weekend, Charlton don't look very clever either . I am guessing you missed Plymouth's 94th minute equaliser?!?
Lovejoy Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 I am guessing you missed Plymouth's 94th minute equaliser?!? yes I did. cheers for that .
tartanowl Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Forest are by far the worst team we've played this season. They were abysmal and are definitely going down IMO. Doncaster and Watford are my other picks this year. Southampton will scrape it again.
Ultra Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I'd rather see Cov go down than Forest. At least there are some half-decent pubs near Forest's ground.
Corky Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Both lost at home again today Sad about Southampton, not a bad club. Not sad at all about Coventry, horrible little club with moronic supporters.
Koke Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 I like Saints. I think that's more to do with my hatred towards Portsmouth.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 I like Saints. I like them, purely for Matt Le Tissier's genius.
Koke Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 I like them, purely for Matt Le Tissier's genius. That too, yes.
Corky Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 I like them, purely for Matt Le Tissier's genius. Only got 8 caps for England. Fcuking disgrace.
